What changes do you think we need in order to become a title contender next year?
I think we had all the pieces. I think we still just lacked experience and I think the core of Crosby, Malkin, and Staal will define our front line for years to come. I hope we keep Hossa too.. I know this year we tried to fast forward the timeline by adding some quality veterans, but do you think we could've done anything different that may have allowed us to roll past Detroit?

I don't think the team needs many changes. They have the experience. The just went to Game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals.
If Hossa is re-signed, they need to get a first line winger for Crosby and someone for Malkin and Sykora.
Aside from the defense, re-sign Orpik and that will be fine.
Once Fleury is under contract, nothing else is needed.
The team will be back to the Conference or Cup finals next year.

I know what you're thinking. We're in the middle of a city, what's a hawk doing there?
