heh. These are not the Sharks of last season. The team may lose, but if it does it will not be for the same reasons as before. They are getting production from the other lines. They are playing better defense. They are getting the puck out of their own end successfully. They are a legitimately good team in the playoffs this time. How good? That's what we find out next.

We play the worst seed to advance. I think that has to be winner of Detroit/Phoenix now? Or are the Kings still alive?

Redwings are crazy skilled. Watching them consistently skate the puck into the offensive zone and pass it around like the D wasn't even there is boggling. Sharks hustled their way to this win. Can they do that in Detroit on those fast boards?

I don't have a feel for this one yet. When I make a prediction it's because I have a very strong hunch.

I will say this though... Sharks need game 2 badly.

Just got back from game 2. Sharks scared me a bit by looking nervous with the puck the entire 2nd period, but they got it together for the 3rd. 2-0 lead has to be putting some question marks in the heads of the red wings.
