Blame JV all you want. The guys need to hit shots.

Guys can’t make shots if Dinwiddie pounds the rock for 20 seconds every possession

It’s not rocket science , right ?

Facts. The ball moved tonight.

I think we need to get an upgrade at PG and Naz Reid to pair up with Claxton.

With the lack of talent this team has, I can't blame why we live and die with the 3...

The ball moving made our offense less predictable. It generates many open 3's, and consistency making them is what would dictate how far we'd go this season.

On another note, we really need to revamp the roster next season starting with a quality PG starter, a shooting big body big and an athletic slashing wing.

Mark my words... This team will now alternate good wins with bad losses and take it down to the last game of the season to determine whether they're the 6th or 7th seed...

Cam J being hot early on along with his aggressive play to the rim was huge in keeping us in the game

The Nets have no reliable iso scorers. Ball movement and 3 point makes are the only way this team can compete

I mean I don’t think this team’s talent is nearly as bad as people think. You get one reliable go to scorer, and this is a team that has good role players out the wazoo. And we’ve seen teams with a bunch of good but not great players win games and even win playoff series.

I think it’s obvious we’re capable of playing much better basketball with this squad than we have so far, and although you can excuse some of it on lack of chemistry because they were all acquired mid season, it’s clear to me that the coaching leaves a lot to be desired and just isn’t good.

And I mean, we can say we don’t have a go to scorer, but Bridges has been more or less a beast since coming here. He can score. I think Spencer has been a disappointment, and despite having multiple good defenders on the team, including one of the best defensive players in the league in Claxton, we tend to get lit up defensively. That’s on coaching imo. If you’re running 3+ positive impact defensive players at a time, you should be able to stop opposing teams more often than not.

This was an impressive win, but the inconsistency of the team has more to do with coaching than with the players imo. Look back at the DRose Bulls when he was hurt. They would still win games, even though they didn’t have any great scorers, because they were at least bringing it defensively and would generate enough offense by committee for the most part. That’s the difference between someone like Thibs, and Vaughn.

Also, with regards to the team not fitting well…our team is essentially a bunch of 3 and D players, a catch and finish defensive big, and a couple of one dimensional 3pt shooters…aka the type of players that fit with ANYONE and any team would love to have. The fit is potentially great, I just don’t think this is the coaching staff for it.

The PG play has left a lot to be desired. It wasn't a coincidence that when Sumner was put in the pace picked up.
