LBJ to Brooklyn: Would You Do It?

For a 1-year immediate improvement without any future picks attached, would you do this deal?

Simmons/Thomas/Sharpe for James/Russell/Hayes

The Nets become a short-run upstart in the East.
Russell, Bridges, James, Johnson, [Claxton]
Schroeder, Whitehead, Wilson, Clowney, Hayes

The Lakers pivot out of the LeBron era, with younger pieces and future flexibility.
Thomas, Reaves, Hachimura, Simmons, Davis
Vincent, Hood-Schifino, Lewis, Vanderbilt, Sharpe
Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.

No thanks... For some reason it would make sense, but if you bring in Bron you're handing all decision-making authority to him. This team has done enough of that this past decade... It's time to build a foundation.

What younger and pieces and future flexibility? Lebron and Russell both have player options they’re likely to opt out.

LeBron is still a top 15 player in this league. I would have to see the fine print and terms. So depending on the deal and what cap we would or would not have left over.

It would not surprise me if LeBron played another 5 years. People love those "Older" longevity stories like Brady or George Foreman.

I would give this one a definite maybe...... :D
