Suns defense is beyond awful. I don't know how they thought they were winning with this team. Invest in some defense maybe?

Youre getting cooked by Dinwiddie lol.

Nets just beat the suns with they full “big3” squad.. I’ve been saying it for awhile now that the Nets are no joke and after they beat the nuggets tomo, Nets will be officially known as one of the top teams in the nba

The Suns were injured (as always), so I would be disappointed if we didn't win. DEN would be a true test about where this team stands

Eh... they had their Big 3 and the Nets were also down key role players. Nothing would have changed if both teams were healthy.

Nets had me grit.

I know we got good looks and that if one of the Cams makes one of those open 3s late, the game is over, but can we please run a play to get a higher percentage shot closer to the basket when we're trying to protect a late lead?

Before the Durant foul, I questioned not getting Sharpe in there, because with a 4sec diffeential between shot and game clocjs, one offensive rebound ends the game.

the marksman doesnt miss. kd must be like wtf just happened?

for all the handwringing over the nets big 3 era, the failure really comes down to 1 thing, KD was at an all time MVP level in 2021 when he almost beat giannis singlehandedly, and after that he wasnt. whether it was injuries catching up or father time, if the 2021 KD came to Boston, the Nets probably win that series, the same way the Suns win the game last night.

Not everyone is still at their all time peak at 34/35 like lebron. Actually almost nobody is i guess.

and here are the nets, cashed in old KD for 27 year old nucleus of competitors and the most valuable haul of picks possible.

even the dinwiddie/dfs/pick return is looking like a heist. kyrie injured again. id prob rather have simmons 80m on books than kyries 120m.

honestly never thought nets would be this good, and they are doing it with all the injuries. royce and dfs are elite role players at their roles. bridges is a legitimate all star. claxton is solid. cam just gets buckets. and in a game like last night even dinwiddie looks like a core player. having him as a 6th man is a huge luxury.

still early but JV should be a legit COY candidate.

I never understood why people had low expectations of this team. They're built for the regular season. They're young, deep, athletic and tenacious. They're better than the DLo team that made the playoffs. This is a team other teams do not want to play through the dog days of the regular season, and will likely win 45ish games just off out working teams, unless they go through a massive sell-off.

I'm not sure they're built for the playoffs though.

All we need is one star player to plug in to this team and we're contenders. Our role players are elite !

I totally agree with all the accolades rendered onto this team and its players. But this is prompted by an article in Nets Daily which I thought made KD sound like a role player to Booker's undeniable excellence. This in spite of the fact that his 27 point game, at 50% efficiency with two blocks and a steal, was still better than what anyone in the game but Devin accomplished. And it seemed to overlook the fact that, at least at present, he has the higher per game average of 30.8 PPG, fourth in the league (but not by much) to three other superstars.

I realize that Nets fans suffered through the 22 Boston playoff series which was the second (to his rookie year) worst of his career, even though he equaled his 29 PPG playoff average last year after only eight previous games with the Suns. No one thought Tatum, the star of that series, was "washed" when in the same playoffs GS held him to less points (21.5 PPG to KD's 26.3), if my math is right at a substantially lower shooting percent, and with just one less turnover per game. And compare that Boston team to what we had on the floor after Kyrie's first game. I do not think even the early KD would have had a chance in that series. It's still a team game.

Perhaps I will miss him less when we have someone playing even at whatever degree of himself he is at now, at 35.
