The defense is getting worse by the day. At this point, it won't matter if Bridges or Cam T scores 50, this will be a play in team at best. The roster needs changes.

Let’s give it to all star break .. I think they got the right pieces .. and team had injuries to begin season so I think until all star break we’ll see how they really are as a team..

And a lot of these games were close ass games .. so it’s not like they are truly scrubbing it up out there

I disagree.

O'Neale, DFS, and Johnson are redundant. O'Neale is the worse out of the 3, so he has to go

Walker and Thomas are also redundant.

Simmons cannot play with Claxton and is always hurt. Plus Simmons is redundant because DSJ can do like 80% of what Simmons does. Getting rid of him should be number 1 priority

The pieces do not complement each other; Instead they overlap, so JV has little to no flexibility when it comes to putting out quality lineups.

Watford needs more minutes. He's more serviceable than Royce.

Yea enough with dude.. they need to see what Giles can do out there..

Why doesnt Giles get any minutes. In blow out games he shows skills, his def can provide way more than royce is doing right now

I agree with O’Neale gotta go, but to call rest of them redundant makes no sense a all.. that’s like saying the entire nba has no use. Every team has similar players (better or worse) to what you call redundant minus “superstars”.. it’s best the team keeps playing and playing until they gel or not. Some players got new roles on the team and it’s only 14 games, so it’s best to see what happens in at least half a season to know where they at

And yea Simmons is a colossal disappointment.. I was hoping dude becomes at least 75% philly Simmons, but like you said he always injured and his shot selection really gettin on my nerves,.. dsj can only do what Simmons does because he’s bklyn Simmons rn.. they both scrubs.. but Smith is a good bench piece

Indeed.. only JV can tell us why he’s bumming it up coaching not putting Giles in

Really don't understand how the defense is this bad honestly. With the guys we have we should be an elite defense.

Might need Simmons back lol.

I actually prefer Nash to Vaughn. Nash actually did some things well, Vaughn doesn’t do anything well. Again, this guy was an actually proven failure as a head coach. Multiple times. Nash had just started his career with a bunch of diva personalities that treated him like a mascot. Never got a fair shake imo.

When Nash was the coach, the team didn't play good enough defense, and was only able to beat mid and below average teams with high powered offensive talent.

JV, with a revolving door of injuries, and much less talent (no real all star), has this team playing at the same level; can't beat contenders, but can beat anyone else with good offense and bad defense.

I'd rather we signed Udoka last time despite the media backlash. See how the Rockets are playing right now?

We won't go far with JV tbh...

I'll preface this by saying that I truly believe that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", and I accept and actually learn from the differences expressed on a good board with knowledgeable fans. Although I do disagree with yours, and another post stating a strong need for a point guard, I write this not as an argument but in confusion about the timing of the complaints in and after this particular game and the season thus far. It seemed gratuitous, which I admit is perfectly acceptable.

NBA.com has us 10th offensively and 23d on defense. We just gave up 45 points in a quarter, 77 points in a half, and 147 for the game. After the onslaught, we had only two starters and one reserve with a net plus for the night. Spencer was second to CamJ (although Mikal was awesome). Our starting and third string point guards were out and our only reserves with the requisite floor skills were forwards O'Neale and Watford.

I just do not think Dinwiddie should be ashamed of being the point guard in a game in which a team scores 145 points. This, particularly so, when he was the second leading scorer with 26 points, had 12 assists, 6 rebounds, we were 8 points better when he was on the floor, and our leading scorer was out. If nothing else, though, he was at least available and there, and our real problem was defense.
