The latter would be more lucrative, and would be roughly $13mil. He's outplaying that, but he's also got another year on his deal and will be 33 when he hits FA. It'll be interesting to see if we lock him up longer term and if he's willing or wants to roll the dice.
Nets are committed to winning and will be the new Lakers in terms of going for star power. That’s why getting KD/Kyrie three years ago was a power move. In other words, the new path moving forward is the Nets are going to be a superstar destination, not rebuild. Furthermore, the Simmons trade solidified that. In past years, Nets used to trade stars for picks/prospects. No longer will that be the case and the league has far more shooters/scorers. Nets will be better off in this new era.

Shots fired.
Funny, Kyrie and KD are the ones with rings, not Embiid.
Doc Rivers still living off that 2008 championship when even he couldn't screw up having that stacked of a squad. Has literally accomplished nothing since then and has in fact massively underachieved and is the poster boy for all-time greatest chokejobs.

It is stupid not to have an injury exception in this league after January.
They think no season ending injuries can occur???
Not fair for any team to be hampered by a player out for the year taking up a spot. Special designation

This is unacceptable period. Giving him fully guaranteed extension will be huge mistake. I'll judge Tsai/Marks on that decision alone. Can derail entire tenure.
