This is a thread for any and all things in the city, player sightings, personal stories and fan interactions, good publicity that's not widely reported, etc. Keep the thread lighthearted.

Example:

BROOKLYN BRIDGE PARK, PIER 2

Join us for an open practice and fan fest where the Brooklyn Nets will take the court for drills, accompanied by performances by the Brooklynettes Dance Team, Team Hype and The Brooklyn Nets Beats Drumline and fan activations, swag giveaways, photo booths, food trucks and more.

Please be advised health & safety protocols will be in place. Attendees ages 12 and up are required to show proof of at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose to attend Practice in the Park. Individuals who provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (at least 14 days after their final vaccine dose, which depending on the type of vaccine, may be one dose or two) are not required to wear a mask. Theme after first preseason game from both sides of the fan bases:

Nets:
•Good- Cam needs minutes he's for real. Sap going to be very useful. Marks is God, find gems anywhere.
Bad- Nic needs to improve.
Lakers:
Good- THT is God send. Monk can play
Bad- DJ is trash, we need reliable starting five. D12 is D12

Had another really fun at "Practice in the Park". We got to Brooklyn Bridge Park at about 10:45 and we in the first 15 people on line. They asked for a vaccine card and ten they give you one of those paper bracelets that you get in a hospital. Met a lot of die hard Nets fans on the line. Then we waited until a little after 12:00 and they let us in.

The first three rows were reserved for so called "VIP's". I saw names on the chairs like "Chinese Influencers" and "Media". Security wanted everyone in the first three rows to wear a mask. We sat in the forth row almost dead center. It was definitely the biggest crowd so far at "PINTP" and we have been to all four of them.

The Nets were announced to the crowd at around 2:00. Kyrie got the biggest applause from the crowd. Everywhere you looked you saw a star, LMA, Blake, Patty. They organized a game of "Climb the ladder", where you had to make shots from the free throw line, the top of the key, the bottom of the half court logo and then a half court shot.

After that they played a game of Knockout. While Kyrie was lined up there was some little kids holding Kyrie's brand shoes. And Kyrie came over and signed them for the kids. He signed about 10 things but he was getting mobbed by kids and went back to his place at the game. I took a picture and I will post it

I wanted to make a video of Kyrie signing the kids shoes and send it to his Dad, but I didn't have it on video....I choked...lol

I did take a video of the guys right before the team photo. Thats coming also...

He actually biggest winner here. He comes to a team that encourages you to develope as a player, two of our best players prime examples. Blake was/is in shooting slump, what our players do? they hyped him to take next shot and don't think about what happens.

Australian connections is another thing I'm actually thinking going to help even more. Patty been in connection with him during this time can help a lot. Hopefully it'll convince him to stay with us going forward too.

:o
He fixes a lot of our shortcomings tbh. Dude is 6.10 athletic freak with elite level defense and rebounding. Very good at transition offense, can find open shooter creating offense with hard takes to the basket, can post up smaller guards, very good cutter.

I see a lot of young J.Kidd in him with more size and athleticism.

Harden has now had issues with Paul, Westbrook, Wall, Howard and now Kyrie, KD, Griffin, Mills. I'm sure that I am missing some. It's only a matter of time before he clashes with Embiid too. He wants everything on the court to be catered to exactly what he needs, and Embiid is used to being the alpha in Philly.

Getting him ready for games after ASB should be priority for us. We need him.

Rest of the league under assumption that it's KD and part time Kyrie. This dude is a monster that slept under the rock for some time.

KD, Kyrie & Ben should be in the gym together at all times for the next 2 weeks. None of them are going to play in that time. Just get on the same page & unleash a brand new look after the break.

The three of them need to be locked in the practice center together and work. Weight room, on the court, and communicating with each other. I believe that both KD and Kyrie are cool with Ben so that should help.

I pretty much expect to get full time Kyrie back in the next few weeks so after ASB its all hands on deck.

Don’t worry, Harden is strategizing how to go to the Celtics right now after that whooping.

Seth Curry will be extension eligible this off-season. As a veteran extension, he'd be eligible for 120% above his current salary or the estimated average salary. The latter would be more lucrative, and would be roughly $13mil. He's outplaying that, but he's also got another year on his deal and will be 33 when he hits FA. It'll be interesting to see if we lock him up longer term and if he's willing or wants to roll the dice.
