Looks like we will see Ben Simmons make his return Monday against the Jazz.

We could use all the help we can get.

The Brooklyn Nets are preparing for another Ben Simmons takeoff. Multiple reports suggest that Simmons will practice with the Long Island Nets this weekend. Barring no setbacks, he could return as early as Monday when Brooklyn welcomes the Utah Jazz.

Can he play well enough to be tradeable?

On a scale from 1 to a billion how much do yall hate Ben?

He's gotta be one of the most bizzare players in the history of the league

Would folks be happy if he were traded for Zach LaVine right now?

Nobody is taking Zach without big compensation

I would take that bet, but our front office won't.

We're clearly positioning our payroll to have maximum capspace in summer 2025, and we won't abandon that plan for Zach, even if CHI included a 1st. I am not sure I see the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow with this approach, you have to figure that we're going to make a play in FA for Mitchell. Whatever it is, Marks is not going to make a move that hinders that.

These two comments make it sound like Zach for Ben is even

Zach is arguably the worst contract in the league right now

That might be true but he's head n shoulders a better player than w.e Ben has turned into... he's broken mentally and his injury history is a major red flag

Zach is out for the foreseeable future and highly unlikely to be traded for anything other than a giveaway in the meantime

His contract is not something that the Nets need so our views on the relative merits of Simmons & Zach as players is irrelevant

Here we go again......

So far Ben has played in 15 games for us this season. Is there anyway that insurance covers some of the salary at this point. If this is another nerve impingement relapse I doubt we will see him back this season.

Whether or not he plays next season (he shouldn't), he needs to retire after this contract. His back simply isn't built for this.
