Johnson probably shouldn't have been out there... His inability to dribble really got exposed. Dinwiddie would have made a lot more sense.

Heartbreaker…..considering we had subpar games from several players we were lucky it was close.

Also someone else said it but why does Royce always seem to have these dumb turnovers?

He hits clutch shots but on the season those seem to be cancelled out by bad turnovers

Still like the guy, but come.on!

There's no offensive cohesion. Nobody knows where to screen/move. I've never been a fan of Vaughn's coaching, and he's doing nothing but affirming my worst beliefs.

Cam Johnson is not a one on one player. He’s a catch and shoot player. Trying to make him something he is not because we paid him a lot

There was a stretch where the Nets offense was humming then Vaughn went into sub every few minutes mode and the offense devolved into guys trying to get Bridges the ball at the top of the arc and somehow failing...

It looked like that last possession was designed to go to bridges on the curl off the screen. So when cam Thomas couldn’t get him the ball he had already picked up his dribble. JV should have cleared the lane for Thomas to work. Not use him as a passer

1) You need more ball handlers in on the final possession.
2) Forget balance late. When you have a lead under 2 minutes, go offensive and trade buckets or go defensive and put the clamps on.

I do not understand this particular criticism. The guy played a good game with a team high +8.

He made ONE turnover. Last year he averaged 1.5 per game at a 2.47:l ATO ratio. He has averaged 1.5 per game at a 2.4:1 ATO for his whole career. I've seen worse.

What a tough crowd!

Disappointing loss. We led by 6 with 1 and change left and we couldn’t score. Besides that. Cam Thomas shot very well and I liked the hustle and overall play of DSJ.

Cam Thomas has to get more PT. The starting unit clearly needs some injection of offense. But when Cam is on the floor, the offense cant just drop him the ball and let him cook. Maybe run some off ball action for Mikal then let Cam Thomas bail you out if the off ball action is denied.

Combination of Dinwiddie and Ben ain’t it. You need to surround them with scorers.

What Nets should do is let Ben play off the bench and use him to create mismatches because of his unique combination of size and skillset. Kerr used this often with guys like Livingston, Iggy and you see it now with Kuminga and GP2.

It might be purely anecdotal but dumb turnovers are dumb turnovers. That was really an inexcusable.basketball play. Middle school recreation level basketball stuff... And there are a few other instances from last year.

Again, you may be right that they are actually infrequent, but the sheer stupidity of them when they occur is mind numbing

Cavs fan here… tough loss for you guys but I really like the potential of this team and really wish we had one or two of your wings. Question though: why doesn’t Cam Thomas get more playing time? In don’t watch the Nets often so I’m not familiar with their situation.

JV killed team rhythm with his constant subbing.. and also killed Thomas rhythm taking him out when he was beastin,… literally non reason to sub him out… only to put him back in last mins smh

Great game though ..

JV just hates the guy for some reason and uses the defense excuse to not give him more playing time ..

Dont you guys think that the other Nets players try to tank their effort when Cam is on the floor? For it would mean less shots thats leads to less money. Whereas the “non cam thomas” scheme has role players looking like borderline stars despite not having shot creation ability on offense.
