Walker has essentially replaced Thomas' scoring. The problem has been on the defensive end. Bridges and DFS are the only 2 way players on the team. For everyone else, we have to give something up to play them

It's not really the scoring.. its the gravity that thomas pulls in that the nets are missing badly..

very strange developments... at the start of the year, many would say that they had plenty of players on D: Simmons, Claxton, Bridges, DFS but that the Nets lost 3 point shooting via the exits of Harris, Curry, Yuta & Mills.

Yet here we are....doing well from the 3 and, well, I don't know if the defense has been that bad but... it arguably isn't the Nets strong point.

Team is not really worth discussing seriously because the coaching is just so bad. Offensive and defensive schemes are terrible and the in-game adjustments are non-existent. Players are put in bad spots over and over.

Said this before this season and will keep saying it: there is enough talent on the roster, so they'll win some games to hover around .500 but there is no chance this team does anything or wins games vs serious teams.

Bridges just isn't the guy he was last year. He wasp putting up insane numbers.

Its clear now that hes not even an all star level player.

We should appreciate Cam more for his scoring ability. Nobody else on this team provides that type of offense.

This team has no business being above or even near .500. No competent primary ball handler, too small, and too many one way players with massive weaknesses.

Walker has been a better scorer than Thomas playing the same role

CamJ sucks. I told you guys he's not worth that contract at all. he has hot shooting streaks at times and good size but nothing else. If we can get some value for him then we need to do it soon before he becomes a liability and untradeable like Ben Simmons

Anyway i dont understand why you guys are mad. This is who we are, we're a .500 team at best. We're a team full of role players with no stars on here and stars run the league. This year is about developing and not giving Houston a top10 pick.

Thinking back to only month ago, people were ranking Mikal as a top 30 player.

We have players that can light it up on an occasion but the consistency is not there.

I don't even care about the Houston pick anymore. Let the chips fall where they may. Lesson learned, move on.

So far we have only convincingly lost this season to the Bucks, Sixers and Celtics. All of which we lost while down starters.

Mikal is an elite 3&D role player ,3rd scoring option at best but Nets force him to become 1st scoring option :noway:

Mikal is a top 30 player. He's not a top 30 scorer though. I think people to easily assume that the best players are the best scorers. That isn't true. Mikal can be the best overall player on a team if he has the right complimentary fits. That starts first and foremost with a true PG that can orchestrate the offense. Unfortunately, Marks has never valued traditional PGs. Marks is a great GM, but that's where I think his fatal flaw resides. Outside of Simmons, we don't have capable ball handlers that can get other players easy shots.
