Its for games like these when guys can’t shoot so they gave them to their best scorer, which is like their 3rd option to carry them on offense.

This squad feels like those early lakers squad when Kobe was playing with guys like Van Exel, Cedric Ceballos and Eddie Jones lol

Because it's true. Cam is not a playmaker. When he is hot, that energy does not feed the other guys. Instead they look discouraged and disengaged.

We need a real number one option.

For me its because you got guys who would be just role players on title contenders who wants to do more on this team. And its ok if their shot is falling, but they should adjust their roles when otherwise.

In 2 seasons, Cam T and Bridges' contracts will expire and will be overpaid. Doubling down on this mediocre squad will make us a treadmill team for the next 6 years min. Someone has got to go, and I would rather ship Cam T out. His archetype (ball hogging scorer, does nothing else well) is extremely easy to find in this league.

Mitchell is better, obtainable, in his prime, and one of the few players that elevates his game in the playoffs. If he isn't it, then who is?

Nowadays scoring is easy. Scoring gets you paid or get you individual awards like MVP.

Elite scorers want to score 40 and average 30ppg. Role players want to average 20ppg.

And when the hierarchy is not defined it’s just chaotic. Everyone has to sacrifice for the whole.

The Nets signed the wrong player. Should've prioritized Clax over Cam J whose been an overpaid useless starter...

yup I always said it, CamJ we should of signed and traded when his value was high last offseason. His contract isn't crippling but he's def overpaid now, he's just not that good. I call him a taller Joe Harris but his shot isn't as good. We need to upgrade from him

It's ironic. Just a few months ago Mikal and CJ were considered a blessing, and more beneficial than even KD and Kyrie. They are the same guys, and just as talented IMHO as they ever were, if not more so. We liked him, but who would still prefer Joe Harris at near the same price to CJ? And KD is an all time great, but isn't Bridges still a great compromise considering longevity and the vast difference in salary? I still think the latter should be our 1a, at least until we re-load. And talent aside, from what I've read, I doubt most here would prefer Kyrie back over either.

I've seen it so often that I wonder if surrendering their summer recuperative time for the FIBA team hasn't had some affect. This is particularly true with Mikal, who was a vital cog in that team, will never take a day off, and whom no coach will rest because of his admirable streak of no missed games. For years some superstars would forgo such risk with physical and injury concerns. I do not expect it for the Olympics, though, because an embarrassing result usually ticks everyone off.

I, personally, think "this too shall pass", and am comfortable waiting for that to happen, particularly this early in the season. It's usually easier for younger players to physically bounce back. I also find it difficult to blame any individual player, because we've been better than we were expected to be, because of the collective effort.
