Really pleasantly surprised by how quickly Lupul and Kadri got their chemistry. Great game tonight. Reimer was solid as well.

Kadri's having an insane year statistically. Can he maintain being a top 10 player--at least statistically--over his career? He's certainly always been a talent, but I don't think anyone really saw a kind of season to this degree.

Yeah, Lupul and Kadri have been killing it. I think RC should try Kadri between Lupul and Kessel. Maybe that will help Kessel get hot again. And hopefully JVR will have a big game against the Flyers on Thursday.

To be honest, I doubt Kadri can be a top 10 scorer in the NHL for his career. I think he'll be a good top 6 forward though. Good thing we didnt trade him for Luongo ;)

The Magic number is apparently just 16 pts according to http://playoffstatus.com/, doing it manually gave me 21, but they must be accounting for the teams below us playing each other & guaranteeing someone loses. That number's going to drop in a hurry. Almost a wrap.

Just caught the highlights of last night's game. Damn. Those little passes in tight with Lupul and Kadri!

6 more Ws in last 13 Gs should do it, maybe 5. Don't have to ride in on a white horse, just don't belly flop either. Man it'd be beautiful to be playing one of Pit, Mtl, Wpg, Ott, Bos in the playoffs, love all those series

The only thing I don't want to see is a Carolina series - us at 6 and Carolina jumping up to 3.

(We'd likely win, but what the heck do I care about Carolina [loved The Whale])

I'd love to end up being in 6th and taking the southeast division winner. Pretty much Carolina or Winnipeg and we can take both of those teams.

Agreed that's the only stinker, I've been pulling for Wpg and Was in their games lately

On that note how irrelevant does Leafs Canes 02 ECF feel. Carolina with the most empty Finals trip ever that year

I was actually at Game6 for that series when Cory Cross fell down after far too long a shift and Gelinas bagged the winner. Brutal series and brutal way to end it.

As we reach closer to the playoffs, I don't see a harm in it. It should generate some discussion, for sure.

The only team I'd want the Leafs to stay away from in the playoffs is Boston. We actually play Pitt surprisingly well and I don't fear any of the other teams. I don't want to watch a 1-0 game against Boston with Kessel getting shut down every shift since he plays like a woman against Boston.

You're right, but if the Leafs are a team "on the rise", at some point they are going to have to get through Boston if they want to be taken seriously.

Such a huge win! Magic number is now 8 pts I believe, was 12 on playoffstatus.com before and TOR win and NJ/PHI loss should take off 4 more

Bruins tho...

An encouraging note is Boston's schedule is as easy as it gets. vs Car, @ NJD, vs NYI, @ Car, vs Ott, vs Buf, vs Pit, vs Fla, @ Phi, vs TB, @ Was. They stand a good chance of ripping through that.

TBH though I wouldn't be that upset if we played them, sure we'd probably lose but just getting in is a success for this year, plus a rivalry bad blood series is fun.

Haha, it does look like we're headed for a date with Boston in the payoffs. IT HAD TO BE BOSTON OF COURSE.
