Canadians use to make fun of Americans for that. They felt really embarrassed about it apparently. I doubt will ever see it come back. Atleast in live action play.

We actually didn't throw a lot of punches, lots of grappling lol. We had PE together and in the locker room him and this short black kid would turn the light off and pick at random who they wanted to jump. One day I had a feeling it was going to be me, and once the light turned off I rushed Matt. I had my hands around his neck choking him (hence my name LOL, nah jk), but he overpowered me and threw me to the ground. Everyone stopped him before he could kill me, and he kept saying "I'll **** you up man," as he was putting his clothes on. Later that lunch though we talked and gave each other dabs, and he didn't mess me with again.

The puck is easy to see on the open ice, but it's when there's bodies and action around the goalie that it often gets lost. Unfortunately, goals often happen in high traffic situations so you have to pay attention when those situations arise.
