Here's to the Bruins who just woke up and took over. Leafs inexperience showed, they tried to play it safe after being up 4.

This team surprised, a lot of guys grew up this year. This series was a great test and they answered it. Nothing to be ashamed of if you're a player or fan from Toronto.

One thing I'll say about Reimer though, he needs to be better at controlling rebounds and his glove needs to actually hold on to the puck.

There were at least 3 clear penalties that went uncalled on the Bruins. One of them was a major when JVR got elbowed.

You can't rely on penalties though. The other team had more heart while some on our team wear panties. That killed us.

We clear lost when we tried to just play passively, just clearing the puck when we cant instead of exerting pressure ourselves. That gave boston all the time in the world to pressure was, and with some pucks bouncing their way, they caught up. Jake Gardiner, should have be warranted the minutes Phaneuf got in the final minutes. he was playing out of this world.

Honestly I'm not enraged... if you told me at the start of the season they'd make the playoffs, come back from a 3-1 lead in the 1st round, before losing in G7 OT after blowing a 4-1 lead, I'd still say "I'll take it". This season was a success and that game was house money... this wasn't the Leafs year to make a run, learning experience may be as valuable

That was **** embarrassing. I just hopped on the bandwagon for the playoffs but I'm pissed.

Oh well, hopefully they learn from this.

It was the way we lost.
I fully expected them to lose game 7 and predicted a 3-4 overall, but did not expect them to go 4-1 and then blow it in the final 14 or so minutes. and have them have a 4 goal turn around.

I'm not a big fan of the leafs but they're a promising team.
They have studs in Kessel/Lupl/JVR and Gardiner/Reimer coming into form.
We're also the youngest team in the NHL. We'll get even better next season.
Good experience for the leafs.
But seriously. teary eyed right now

That was brutal. I don't care about yardsticks or moral victories. I thought we were the better team in the series and deserved the win.

Anyone who watches hockey knows that was just dumb luck. There are always those few crazy comeback games every year. This one just happened to be in a game 7. First time ever...yes, ever...a 3 goal comeback in a game 7. Even scoring two goals by pulling the goalie...just hardly ever happens.

In fact, it has only ever happened 8.7% of the time, coming back from down 3-1.

Pure. Bad. Luck.

Don't forget Morgan Reily, that kid is a stud. I hope he gets called up next season, it'll be fun watching him play too.

Tough break, guys. I honestly thought you guys deserved to win with how laid back the Bruins have been.

We went through a similiarly horrifying collapse in 2010 when we blew a 3-0 series lead to Philly. I honestly think it played a big part in our Cup run, though. If you guys shore up your D (get Dion the frak outta there...) you can do some damage next season.

They went further than most expected, but that's not a way any fan wants to see their team lose.

Overall, a lot of positives this season. This team worked hard and have some great, young pieces moving forward.

Good season overall, sucky way to end.
"I definitely knew he traveled, but I didn't know they were going to call it. That was one of them situations in which a great player made a move...and they called the call. And I was like, 'Oh, man, there is a God.'

I don't see how getting brutally outshot once again in the 3rd period while standing around hoping to kill time in the dying minutes is "bad luck". Maybe instead of watching the Bruins pass the puck around they could've, oh I don't know, applied pressure or something?

People keep saying the Leafs deserved to win the series but I don't totally agree, even in their past 2 wins they were holding on for dear life at the end of the game. They played hard and I am proud of them for getting this far in what was supposed to be another bad season but it's just such an awful way to go out.

Too many lost faceoffs ( especially the one after the 4-3 goal at centre ice gave the bruins the puck) and |Reimer has a bad glove hand and way too many rebounds...need a centre (Bozak) who can win draws and a better goalie.
Reimer played as well as he can but his rebound control is awful...can't win in playoffs with that...
