Proud to have never doubted Freddie Andersen for even one second.

I guess we should expect slow starts to the season to be a pattern with Freddie. I'm okay with it as long as the rest of the pattern also follows suit.

Leafs didn't play well for most of the game, but they got screwed tonight. There was goaltender interference on Matthews' tying goal, but it happened five seconds before and the goalie had already re-positioned himself. Rarely see that get overturned when the interference had little to no effect on the play. Then just minutes later Andersen gets tripped behind the net, yet no penalty.

I knew it was a loss the moment the Toronto media started saying it should have been an "easy win" against a bottom feeder. We almost always lose when that happens. Hockey isn't basketball. A bad team in the NHL is far more likely to upset a good team, especially in the regular season, than in most other sports.

We will win tonight.

Tough loss, I jinxed us. At least we got a point.
