If they don't come out of the East where Miami was without Butler, Milwaukee without Giannis, Knicks without Randle (then Bogdonovic, Mitch, OG), Cavs without Spida, it's a bad look. I will give you that being down KP is rough, but you got 2 super-max cats, and Jrue with prestigious vet/role guys..

do you want to give Julius, KAT money instead?

No way Juluis is getting close to 60mil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He’s going to get 35-40 which is significantly less than the latter parts of kats contract!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Julius will ask for the 35% max. If we don’t give it to him, he will threaten to walk just like Paul George is. With the kicker being: we get nothing in return, and he’s 5 years younger.

35% of 2024-25 141m cap is 49.35m

Randles option isn’t until 25-26 when the cap will probably be even bigger.

TLDR: he’ll be making KAT money whether it’s thru us or not.

Give Julius the money and if things don't work out flip him for Giannis a year down the line.

Huge OG fan, I followed him here after the trade. But I don't know the answer to the question. He's a smart guy, I can't imagine he has a bad diet. He works hard in summer. All his injuries have been different, it's not like the same knee keeps deteriorating like Brandon Roy or someone like that. But I do wonder if a different off season program would help, something with more stretching and flexibility. He's heavily muscled so maybe body composition makes him susceptible to pulls

If they don't win the ECF they should be ashamed.

All remaining teams in the West are currently on their level with KP out, and maybe with him available.

Eg, Celts lose to repeating Nuggets led by goat Jokic? Nothing to be ashamed about there.

And he'll be worth the 35% max .. to someone - maybe the Spurs? .. and he gave the Knicks a bunch of money back on this contract because of a shared vision.

Most of those listed in 2021, rest, recovery etc were the Raptors tanking in Tampa. But yeah you're right it is more joints than muscles. Along with some freak ones like a cut finger this season in Toronto. I don't know the answer, for a long time I hoped it was just bad luck, but there must be some reason
