Had I lived under a rock for the past 2 years and had just gone by the opinions of SAS, Bill Reiter, the idiots on FTF and some of the posters on this forum I would have thought Brunson was the worst Knicks acquisition since Eddy Curry.

Had you lived under a rock for the past 2 years, you'd have been better off than those who watched SAS, Reiter, and FTF for the whole time. LOL

Best non-rookie scale contract in the league. Trade him for 4 1sts and a prospect before Thibs pulls a D-Rose and murders him.

Brunson is a good player and plays the most important position in league today. A position we haven't been able to secure the last decade. He's 25, he keeps getting better, he has a clean bill of health and no character issues. I also think he's built to handle NYC, which is very important. I think Brunson will be good here.

But this cannot be it. Leon needs to cash in on these picks soon. We are still missing that star.

I'll take it!

Brunson as a 2nd option couldn’t reach 20 but he will as a 3rd option now? I think you are getting way too ahead of yourself here

He missed 32 games last year, and what does last season have to do with this season? Brunson will most likely average 20ppg with an increased role, just like he did in the playoffs this year.

If Rose is worth $14 million per year and misses 60% of the season, what is a 25 year old worth who can play those games?

Yes, he'll average 20ppg on our team if he gets the touches Burks got when he was starting, while siphoning some away from Fournier, RJ and Randle as well.

He had no problem averaging 28ppg against your boy Donovan

Okay so we have signed best PG since Clyde with less than 30M per in 2020s? Where could I sign up?

This beautiful contract is coming to an end. Hopefully we can convince him to play one more year on it to be able to add pieces to the roster.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

He may even do an opt-in and extend to help Leon build a sustainable contender… maybe…

Unfortunately no. If we decline/waive Bogs and OG opts out we're still at $105 ...

say we get lucky and the cap goes up a bit to $141 which most are predicting.

That leaves us with ~$32-35 - our two 1st rounders that Thibs will never play, and then we can't do OG. OG is CAA, he's getting a max deal. Even if he opts in, and extends that's still $20 million off. Hartenstein also CAA is getting paid. Mitch way to fragile not to sign him and CAA didn't bring him here to not get Sam Rose a new Ferrari.

We are stuck with this roster for the most part barring a trade, and we'll watch all these players health disintegrate over the next 3 years just like Rose, Deng and Noah. We'll just repeat Thibs destiny to make maybe 1 conference final every 15 years.
