Allan Houston from 2007? Or Allan Houston in his prime?

nah.... he'd be able to hit from downtown every now and then but they would just score on him just as much as he is to slow

& everyone would complain that he is stunting Wilson Chandler & Mardy Collins Growth. Everyone would say without him they'd have 20 wins and as good as the Celtics...

Contrary to popular myth that Isiah Thomas somehow blocked Houston's return, by most accounts it was Houston that tried and realized that he couldn't do it anymore. So how much better would the Knicks have been with Houston? Maybe they would have outscored another team a few times more or less a quarter here and there but Houston hardly would have made any dent in this mess. Heck, Charles Oakley would have helped more because you don't need to be able to move much to cross-line or elbow someone in the head.

H20 would be speaking more and we'd have a functional captain...

Why would Houston start now when he never was known as a speaker nor a strong captain when he was in his prime? And by functional you don't mean actually "functional" do you?

If the Knicks were looking for adding leadership and a voice on their bench they should be looking to bring LJ back in some sort of assistant coaching capacity instead of the schmo, larry and curly's they have as Thomas' lapdogs right now.

I mean have to wonder why Thomas hasn't brought in any of his Piston teammates (or any other former players that have been part of championship teams) to help on his coaching staff.

Prime Houston on this team, Knicks would be 30-0
2007 Houston on this team, Knicks would be 28-2
