If Memphis would do this, we would trade 2 guys we SHOULDNT be using for two 1 year contracts. Of course, Damon maybe no happier here, then just waive him.

Memphis is looking to shed salary, not add to it....

They would want no part of Jefferies contract + the trade kicker he has in it....

If they would do it its a no brainer from our eyes....

Something more realistic is to take mighty mouse off their hands and get a 2nd rounder in the process for fred jones


Or I havent looked at the contracts but something like:

Brian Cardinal and Mighty Mouse

Jerome James(or jefferies) and Fred Jones...

I believe Cardinals contract is a year shorter then James and Jefferies while Jones is a year shorter then Mighty Mouses.....

Our short term cap has no chance, but to shed a year long term would be beneficial....

I think Mem would do that. They are the one team that always talks about Jerome James, they shed salary and they add quality personalities. Plus Collins would be a very smart backup to the Conley/navarro thing
