I was wondering if anyone has seen this brilliant new film by Paul Thomas Anderson with Daniel Day-Lewis and Paul Dano. It's one of the best movies I've ever seen and the last scene where the preacher tries to sell Plainview a property only to be humiliated is freaking awesome.
It has some great quotes too:

I drink your milkshake!
I have a competition in me, I want no one else to succeed
There's an ocean of oil under our feet
I see the worst in people
Bastard in a basket
Are you an angry man?
I have abandoned my boy
Where's our money Daniel?

I saw it too up on 68th and B-way. It was a good movie, but far too long.

Daniel Day Lewis is an amazing actor though.......without him the movie would have been nothing.

Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead did the soundtrack. How'd it sound?

It's really intense and I'm thinking of buying it (I'll try to listen to it first though). It's almost exclusively him playing the violin.

I saw it.... It was great and I would highly recommend it.. DDL is great in it and the music is different than pretty much any other movie soundtrack i've ever heard

it didn't even feel that long to me

but i would say, you should see it for the great acting, cinematography, script, music, and direction moreso than the plot
