I see these two things as kind of the same. Meaning, what we saw tonight (Kings choke aside) was just a fun and inspiring game. Guys who play it hard and come through in the clutch -- and who, like Hart and McBride, care -- are fun and it is a couple of hours of enjoyment out of paying bills or working a job.

So, that's where it's at. Not betting, not about revenue streams, not even having to watch a guy who doesn't really play with a lot of love for the game (just my feeling). It's about seeing something like what Jalen Brunson brings, amazing stuff from a pure winner. Screw the rest.

We got our money's worth but mostly because we didn't pay much to watch it and have some fun.

Some late-night corniness but the game is the game and anybody who focuses too much on the business of it or doesn't care about the game is a detriment. Watching tough, hardworking winners is what makes it a show and something worthwhile. Not putting your hopes on some longshot bet on something that's just about money.

I agree, but

This was one of Thibs best coached and adjustments game. The way he switched to have Hart set the Brunson pick and use their blitz against them was the turning point imo.

I don't get why Marbury was cheered. He was such a disappointment and the complete opposite of Brunson when you think about it.

Come on, man. How long you holding onto that grudge? Now, if it were Isiah Thomas then yes we should have heard 19,800 boos.

But it's been a long time and some of us still remember him from Lincoln High School days. He's clearly suffered through some mental health issues and come out the other side kind of healed, in a weird Chinese sort of way. I'm happy for Steph and definitely would have cheered for him had I been in attendance.

TrueWarrior wrote:Josh looked like LeJulius Jandle out there.

If he’s not going to shoot threes he needs to keeps attacking the rim like it dissed his momma.

The Kings have no interior D, but Josh is a legitimately great finisher inside. Teams have been doubling off him on Jalen constantly, so he has to be more aggressive and dive to the paint all night like he did in this one.

We need somebody else besides Jalen to get buckets down low with Julius gone. We got shooters to spread the floor around them. Josh can get a full head of steam if they wont guard him beyond the arc to either score of kick out.

This is going to have to be done by committee. Jalen will do his thing, but Donte, Deuce, and Bojan have to keep connecting to keep the hounds honest. Isaiah is an air traffic controller from the elbows who will find anything that moves. Mitch and OG can hopefully return to form. We aren’t done yet.

The thing is last night he did that AND shot threes...

Love those Nova boys they were built for New York

I dont know what it is but I feel the same way. From the first 3 games that I saw this year- I instantly felt that way. They play with
a winners confidence. I dont doubt for one second that this group(both front office, coaching staff and players will figure the chip formula out. Maybe we add a player or lose one but we finally have a winning core...and your winning core isnt just made up of 1-2-and 3...In my mind...

Hopefullly continue the magic and treat the playoffs like March madness.
