If he was that good, he would be carrying BKNY into the postseason or at least the play-in

15 was sarcasm.

The problem with a lot of the Knicks picks is they're either protected or late first round.

2024: Not set in stone, but currently 23 & 25 - will stay close to that.
2025 - Knicks pick, probably in the 20s again, unless they go south. BUcks pick (2025) - again, probably 20s.
2026 - Knicks pick . . . 2 years out and good chance in the 20s again.

Pistons Pick - might be the most valuable of the set, but could end up turning into a 2nd.
Wizards Pick - again, potenitally pretty good, but Wiz seem committed to tanking, so might turn into a 2nd.

None of those picks have high values, so I think it takes Bogs, filler and 3 picks to get Mikal but I'd be happy if it takes less.

Of course, if a player another team covets falls to 23, then the value of that pick goes up, but that would depend on circumstances.

I would rather have Miles Bridges. Brooklyn gave Mikal the keys and he regressed. Whatever the package would be to get him would be an overpay.

And what has Miles Bridges proven other than guaranteed off-court issues?

Whiles Miles might be cheaper to acquire, there's a reason nobody is knocking on Charlotte's door for a chance to get him. Dude will rot with the Hornets because they tolerate all that BS with their players. It's not good for us chemistry wise and with the media. All the stuff he's done would be put on the microscope here.

I want Mikal for a good price, maybe overpay a little bit. But if New Jersey wants a superstar price, they're not getting it. He's already tanked his value this season.

I wasn't making a case for the Knicks to go and get Miles Bridges. I guess you missed the joke

I would love him but, the cost would most likely be too insane. BKN is a shyt show run by morons. Funny how they don't get roasted in the media like the Knicks used to when we were the same way.

I also thought we had no shot at getting OG though so, you never know.

I absolutely want him and I'm willing to trade Julius Randle for him.

Bridges' value just dipped. And the Nets wont care and ask the price the he was worth, when he was with the suns.

Bridges is a 3 or a 2 (at best) but they want compensation as if hes a #1. If he wasnt a Nova guy i probably wouldnt even consider it. Id do it because id just go all in on that Nova chemistry and he also fits pretty well next to Brunson and OG or brunson and donte, we could use him as a 2 or 3 and he can defend his ass off.

But yea the asking price is just too high currently. id throw them 2 or 3 picks, deuce and bojan. This would give the Nets a potential future guard, some picks and a good contract in bojan. i think its not a bad deal for the nets and we wouldnt give up too much and even keep some picks.

take it or leave it. Its great to be in a position where you dont have to do these kind of deals right now.

Bridges streak of games played would come to a quick end under Thibs.

Randle for Bridges + SRP should be on the table.

Nets can go after Donovon Mitchell

If the Knicks are going to resign OG trading for Bridges kind of doesn't make sense IMO. I see OG as more of a SF. I don't know that they would want to move him to the PF position.

Yup... Randle & Spida in Brooklyn would make them somewhat relevant.

Alternatively, we can hold onto Randle and, instead, offer up Mitch & Deuce...

If the Knicks make the conference finals without Randle and OG as a 4. You would want to keep OG at the 4? He will be the stretch 4 that I would like the Knicks to have. Getting Bridges and OG will make us switchable defenders and both are All-Defense players. We also get a player that has been healthy since he got here.

I'm worried about OG's health since he has miss significant time due to minor injuries.

I would not trade Randle, an All NBA player, for Mikal Bridges without Brooklyn attaching Phoenix's draft picks in return.
