Yup. Multiple instances of guys coming back too early now.

Can't fault guys for getting tired, when the subs (Bogdo and Burks) are hot garbage and Bogdo in particular looks like he can no longer move.

This trade has to be considered a pretty big failure on the F/O.

The OG trade not looking so great either. It's great when he plays. The problem is, OG has a history of not playing.

the hoop collective talked about him and said guys in tornoto felt sometimes he could play through pain and he didn't. and maybe that's what josh was talking about.

I dunno. I saw him live in Portland. He was in a LOT of pain. So maybe that's been true other times but I'd err on the side of caution with this one.

Interesting. That shows. Maybe they've overcompensated though.

They've definitely been looking at his hunting for charges differently.

i'm just saying what they said. i think it's likely we are bringing guys back a little early for the playoff run.

I think for Brunson it's more a factor of he's playing fewer minutes and we've slowed our pace down a lot post-ASB

Pace went from 97 pre-ASB to 94 post-ASB, and Brunson has gone from about 36 mpg to under 33, which is a good thing because Thibs isn't wearing him out, but I think that's more the reason why than anything

Cause you look at per36 numbers, his free throws per36 went from 6.3 pre-ASB to 6.0 post-ASB. So slight decline, but not a huge amount. Per100 possessions, from 8.6 pre-ASB to 8.5 post-ASB, virtually identical

You can argue he's been not getting calls all year and I think there's a point there, but people are drastically overstating the difference. Plus, I find it hard to understand how the same people saying the Lakers being #1 in free throw differential over 2 seasons is clear evidence of rigging, but the Knicks at #2 are being rigged against somehow

Every single fanbase feels like the refs are against them personally. At least some of them have to be wrong, mathematically speaking.

Players coming back too early seems to be an indictment on the front office forcing these players to do so for a playoff run. Probs why Randle hasn't shut down the season with surgery when that's probably the right thing to do at this point

Rose needs to overhaul our medical staff to get it to be the best in the league (or rival the best). No reason we shouldn't have the absolute best.

Zebras sucked as usual but we missed 11 free throws. Can't beat yourself like that. And the team isn't getting it done when Brunson sits. That lead was erased in like one minute at the start of the 4th.

But we hung in there with one of the best teams in the league. SGA made a tough shot over Deuce and Williams just killed us all game long. We need OG against guys like him. And maybe we should have Chris Hansen at courtside next time we play OKC cause Giddey goes crazy against us for some reason.

We just got to stay in that 4th or 5th slot with Orlando and avoid Miami and Philly. Magic are the one team I think we can beat without Randle, OG and Mitch.

At this point, the 6th seed might be the best seed for us...

Just because a guy reaggravates an injury, it doesn't mean they came back too early. Some guys are just injury prone. :-?

I'd gladly sign up for a rematch with Cleveland. Although I'm not as confident beating them without Mitch.

We are not beating Miami or Philly w/ Embiid without Randle, OG and Mitch.

He's not quoted entirely because it was also said he (JB) does it with footwork alike Harden. Still doesn't excuse no calls when he's clipped, though.

probably. this version of the team is about a .500 team. .500 teams don't often get out of the 1st round.

Our defense (in addition to Brunson) will be the pathway to contention. And we don't have an elite defense without OG. Other semi-realistic pathways contain even more risk.

So we don't have much leverage. We'll just have to pay up. Hopefully OG's camp offer a pay cut but it's not owed to us.

there are some guys where it's baked in that they're gonna miss a lot of time and if you are worried about that you just don't trade for them. you don't get to ask for a discount after. he's 26, he'll be 27 in july. this is his prime and his best time to cash in. he's going to.

everybody is just shocked because we hadn't experienced this yet but the toronto fans were telling us this all along.

Yeah and that's why the Knicks org needed to be overly cautious with the injury and as it appears they weren't. "Ok great news friends he's cleared to play yes yes we can play him 40 minutes right away no problemo", mf no.
