We just need to rebound the ball thats the #1 key in every game we have won or lost. Also Thibs needs to come up with a way to get brunson more catch and shoot 3s to get his rhythm going, hes been lethal on catch and shoot and dreadful on self created ones. We are making the pacers at times look like a top 5 defense

There's certainly questions concerning (1) our cardio, and (2) Brunson's foot injury right now. If those don't improve, then you're probably right.

I also think that Thibs has to play Burks more.

If Brunson can get healthier and the rest of the squad can reenergize, we can take game five in a tough battle.

This is better... unless Thibs thinks that Burks can handle TJ better than Deuce

I'd start with iHart on Siakam (to take away the post up) and Hart on Turner (to take away the easy pick and pop)... Then they may adjust with putting Turner in the post... that's when you send the double from different places because Turner isn't quite the passer as Siakam is and Siakam isn't quite the shooter Turner is so iHart can come down to double here and there.

Turner isn't a top level rebounder either so Hart can box him out. Thibs tried this for a few minutes in one of the games.

Send them a sms and teach how to adjust

Remember how bad we were vs Atlanta?!

We were all healthy and we sucked balls...

If we were healthy now, thats an instant ring with how the other teams have performed

NBC could always put out their own pre and post game analyst shows. Maybe they’ll actually hire someone who isn’t a clown, who knows.

As long as Jalen remained healthy we had a shot against anyone, but if he doesnt get better real quick this is going to end poorly to say the least. OG and Mitch also being out compounds it even more, but Jalen is the engine.

If Thibs has any tricks up his sleeve, now is the time to get creative. I know we’re short handed but this is where good coaching can squeak out a win.

His idea seems to be to try Alec and not make sure a guy who has hit every 3 shoots again

Not playing Precious in G3 hurt too

Again I have to keep saying I think he’s a good coach but he’s one of these people — and there are many — who thinks creative thinking is people talking out their ass

Without Deuce we don’t even beat the 6ers ... so with some spots of bad shooting, he turns to Alec

Wasn’t too long ago Deuce was literally playing 45+ and Alec 0

That’s LOL

Vets who’ve been benched for bad play are obv not rescuing you from a downward turn in the playoffs … fact that Thibs did that is panicky and stupid, injuries notwithstanding

DDV 4 game stretch going into Game 4

27.8 PPG 4.0 RPG 3.5 APG 1.0 SPG 1.5 BPG
49.4% on 20.3 FGA
100% on 2.0 FTA
56.1% on 10.3 3PA

These are playoff numbers that put you in some all time elite levels. Unrealistic to expect that to continue & he was do for a dud.

Let’s see how he bounces back.

The "trick" should be to try iHart on Precious (to take away his post game and force him to the perimeter or into drives) and then Hart on Turner to take away his pick and pop game and force him into the post (eventually) where we can more easily double and where he's not as comfortable. It's worth a shot because Siakam is toasting Hart on the block.

Then I would start McBride or Burks in place of Precious and use Precious as the sub for iHart (no Sims!)

I'd stick McBride on Haliburton and tell him to hound Haliburton all the way up the court and to stick to him like glue (and force him left). McBride may be able to slow him some.

That is what I'd do to slow down their double headed attack (Siakam and Haliburton).... and then hope that Brunson is relatively healthy.
