Bottom line is Brunson needs help. Donte is not a 1-B. he's not a Robin.

Joker has Murray
Luka has Kyrie
Tatum has Brown
Ant has KAT
Curry had Dray
Giannis had Jrue
Shaq had Kobe
Mike had Scottie
Kato had Nash
Tango had Cash
Luke had Han
BJ had Bear
Starsky had Hutch
Ponch had Jon

no one ever did it so alone as Jalen is right now.

Yeah I mean we've operated under multiple handicaps for so long ..once they are removed logic says we should to launch into the stratosphere.

Not looking past this season but....if were to end early ...we have nothing to feel ashamed of. This team has left it ALL on the table. And the future is so very bright. Come next season we a going to be handing out extra servings of azz whippins the other so called contenders.

I cant wait.

I'd be possibly looking at making an adjustment to the starting 5, get the ball out of Brunsons hands coming up the court to ease the load on full court pressure, maybe start McBride.

Underrated thing that we made a bad trade with Detroit, then overplayed OG. That’s basically why we are looking at a defeat.

I agree, we really could use Fournier right about now

With Grimes shutting his season down, your logic is that Evan over Burkes wins us the series?

Burks shooting percentages have been better than McBride in the playoffs if anybody is wondering

When OG plays he makes us very good. Maybe championship good.

BUT...

he's never played more than 11 Playoff games in a season.

And the year they won he played just 11 of the 18 their run took.

So this off season our FO has to face two decisions –

Mitch is ALWAYS injured and usually during Playoff time. And OG is unreliable as well.

Of course the ENTIRE league has similar issues, but we have it with 2 key players instead of just one. Add one freak accident to a usually reliable player – Randle – and we’re running out of luck.

I suspect Leon & co. figures at least OG gets them into the playoffs with his 50-60 games a year (unlike Mitch) so he’s worth keeping.

But they NEED a backup plan as “sure as shootin’” next year it will happen again with Mitch and OG.

USE THOSE DRAFT PICKS ON YOUNG HEALTHY PLAYERS. Not shaky vets.

We could really use someone who is playing and who doesn’t have a dad body for the two second round picks we traded for Bojan

You’re just being a contrarian

Burks has taken a handful of shots and can’t defend at all

He also missed badly on two shots that were key

We wouldn’t have won first round without Deuce

And you don’t win on FG%

My logic is we traded two picks for two players who didn’t help and had produced good numbers on a terrible team

You wouldn’t redo that trade? Spend your picks and Grimes somewhere else?

Was farfetched I guess. We did play well second half of G2 without him and with Jalen hurt but that seems also like it won’t happen.

You didn’t answer the question. You’re blaming our potential defeat on the trade. Does Evan over Burks win us the series?

the team didn’t want to spend firsts or use cap space so I’m not sure who else would really be available on the cheap. Bojan was playing well against the 76ers until he got hurt, can’t control that, hindsight is 20/20

Versus Fournier no, versus what we could have gotten back instead maybe

How is that not clear

Hindsight is 20/20 can literally be used to justify any trade anybody might say was bad

For the record, I called it bad without the benefit of hindsight so ….

To be fair, if Bogs was healthy, that trade wouldn't look so bad.

IDK about his injury history, but if he's an injury prone guy, it would have been better to use those assets on hardier/younger players. His age alone made the trade iffy under the circumstances.

When the trade was made... OG was hurt, Randle was hurt, and Mitch was hurt....and it was well-known that 2 of the 3 are injury prone.

So basically the trade should have been for a player who doesn't miss many games and had enough skills help out in case Randle needed surgery or OG and Mitch get their usual injuries for the postseason.
