so I guess.
we're late enough that the only legitimate idea remaining is to clear him to PLAY with 2-3 games left in the season.
game (-3 from eoy) is on 4/11 vs BOS so I dont think it makes any tactical sense to play him then
game -2 EOY is vs 4/12 NETS
game -1 is vs CHI 4/14
So, green light for contact around 4/8 which gives him a couple practices before 4/12 game
see how he responds
and he plays limited minutes on 4/12
see how he responds
plays 4/14
see how he responds
I assume at this point the exact same idea is going to be applied to OG
if Randle cant come out of the Nets game OK, its season over for him. I legitimately have a hard time believing they would clear Randle with 0 game reps for the playoffs.
OG I can see him having a different trajectory especially if they believe his injury cant be worsened. So he'd still be available to come back in a middle of a playoff series. But at this point again, it seems rest is the only cure for his condition and it makes 0 sense to ease him back early again. shut him down till the nets game and see how he responds. assuming of course he is even ready for the nets game.
