Makes sense to me. I don't see him coming over as long as Thibs is the HC, and Thibs won't get extended for anything less than NBA Finals appearance or an actual championship. Next season is Thibs' last
'guaranteed' season of his contract.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with how Rokas wants to control HIS own career...none. However, if this is the case then NYK needs to proceed to move forward as if he isn't part of the team. Can't guarantee him minutes if we got lucky and found a PG next summer (flavor of the month in Brunson) AND as McBride gets a chance and produces. At that point, Rokas becomes a very attractive trade piece more-so than a 3rd stringer. UNLESS you think Rokas will be better player than McBride IN THE NBA...in which we deal McBride.
Now that I'm thinking about it, Rokas may serve us best in a trade. I believe a team that values Euro prospects like Dallas or SAS wouldn't mind acquiring him. Watch that S&T with Dallas to get Brunson in a Knick jersey include Rokas.
Revolution starts in the mind...
