But to your point, New Yorker arguing about baseball is like drinking coffee in the morning. I grew up on a block filled with kids who argued Jets/Giants, Mets/Yankees, Rangers/Islanders. So, this is nothing. Besides, I just came over here to tweak my Yankees friends. All in good fun my friend.

The A's have a deal where for $200 you can go to as many games as you want for a month (it might be 2 months not sure), and they randomly seat you. May be upper deck it may be lower. Yo man lets take a deep breathe here. Obviously these weren't the best signings, but it's not like they don't have a plan. This money coming off the books + young talent + Free Agency in the next couple of years will have the Yankees booming again. Also, they started off extremely slow, but have been winning lately so props to them for not giving up. It's a long season. About 115 more games to go!

Brian Cashman has been GM for the Yankees since 1998 when he inherited an embarrassment of riches from Watson and Michael. Tell me since he's taken over...what compelling player has he drafted?

Phil Hughes? Ian Kennedy? Joba Chamberlain? Three players that the Twins said, we'll take any 2 out of 3 for Johan Santana in his PRIME.

Where's the highly prized Austin "Action" Jackson now? Not doing that good with the White Sox after time with the Tigers.

Now, we're talking about the highly prized Luis Severino called up midway last season, teams are fouling off his fastball and waiting to tee off him. As a result, he is 0-6 with a ERA 7+ who had no business staying in the rotation that long. Now he's on the DL.

People complain about the Yankees finishing first all those years? Ask the Red Sox how's their farm system? It's stocked better.

Beltran has been a beast.

Just have the lead after 6 innings and the game is over. easier said than done, but this team will be unbeatable if that happens

I personally believe the combination of Girardi being able to scrape together 80something wins, our dominant bullpen, and the acquisition of Castro can keep us competitive until the late summer. I'm not saying we're a division winner, but older players normally take a few months to get in the groove at the plate. Wait until A-Rod comes back and Mark starts to hit. After that, I'm hoping Severino returns and gets another crack at the rotation. He really was our X-Factor last year.
