sure but his value has dropped, prob by a quite a bit. back then there was chatter he was a solid #2, now he's a 3a

Yea, but not to the point that they are giving him away to their cross town rival.

They can still get a price for him that is comparable to what we traded for OG.

A boatload of picks that few other teams could offer would not be "giving him away" imo.

Oh, Mr. Party decided to show up and grace us with his presence.

Or ... maybe Hiz Modness and Mrs. Modness had a baby and didn't bother to tell his brothers and sisters here.

Edit: I have had a friend in Philly about a year or two younger than me, which makes him 63, and he has TWO 5 year olds.

I have 2 kids under 4 now

Mitch + Bogs + up to 4 1st rounds picks (ie a warchest)

Worth consideration...

Not all 1sts are created equal... and if it puts us in legit contention... you have to consider it

Is Mikal really that much better than Donte? I would still consider Donovan before Mikal.

I would not burn four 1sts on Bridges regardless of fit. That's an insane price to pay for a roleplayer/4th option

I think the question is "at what cost?" because the truth is Bridges is a good supplemental player. I don't want Bridges to take us out of getting a guy like Giannis or even Durant.

Which four? The two highly protected picks are not worth the same as a 2029 unprotected.

Yesterday's price is not today's price so I don't care what they turned down last year, just like OG didn't fetch what everyone imagined he would when he finally got traded.

Fits in perfectly at the 2 next to OG at the 3. Ragu goes bench..giving it a nice boost.

I’ve said it before: he is the single best trade target for this team.

That’s a championship formula. Send Mitchell Robinson and as many picks as it takes, but keep McBride AND DiVincenzo. In order to get Bridges, I would even send them Randle and move OG to PF, but I doubt that would be the package Brooklyn would be seeking and it also wouldn’t be my preference.

Any imo, but you keep DVo and McBride.

Brunson, Bridges, OG, Randle, Hartenstein is actually what’s insane.

Voted yes.

And for those concerned about the cost, I think his cost has gone down substantially this year. He's not a #1, which is what he looked like when he first got to Brooklyn and was dropping 26 a game. Now he's been brought back to earth and his natural role, which is more of an great role player on the wing who's a natural switch 1-4 defensively. He's another OG, not as dominant defensively, but better offensively. A great team can NEVER have too many of those guys.

An expiring like Bogs and our best two picks could get it done. Brooklyn will want a good, young player too, but I'm not sure which teams or how many out there would really offer that this offseason. He's going to be really affordable.....

Name a player that fits this team better. I could only come up with four, of which none will ever be available: KD, Bane, Edwards, SGA. At SG next to OG, Randle and Brunson, Mikal is the perfect fit.

Three things have to happen for us to get him...

1) Mikal's agent has to make a strong demand to Nets front office
2) Leon Rose has to smooth the relationship with NJ and imply better cooperation in the future
3) Leon has to send at minimum Mitch + rights to Rokas + three 1st rounders of varying importance

Brooklyn is going to want good firsts. Like ours six years away unprotected or something like that. All of our firsts the next few years are going to be terrible value because we're actually good now. We don't have any good firsts to give, so an overpay of four picks might not be that big of a deal.

Our current picks:

2024 own first (currently 18)
2025 own first
2024 Mavs pick top 10 protected (current 23)
2025 Bucks top 4 protected
2024 Detroit top 12 protected
2024 Wizards top 18

The only pick with a chance to be in the lottery there is really the Bucks top 4 next year, and that would take a Lillard/Giannis combo injury of some sort.
