Blowing out teams like the Nuggets and Sixers during the regular season was the closest thing to winning a championship for us in the past 20 years.

The joy that I felt before Randle and OG went down was comparable to watching us beat the Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals. Even if we fall off a cliff in the standings, you can place this season next to 1970,1973 and 1994.

What hurts is the team would be in second place if the injuries hadn't happened.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Chill. We've still got a proper spot.

The 8th seed is 33-26, we're 35-25, I don't see how we avoid the play in at this point.

Too many guys are out right now with their return dates entirely too close to the playoffs for this season to be anything.

I tried telling everyone this weeks ago but I was accused of being negative. The nerve!

Brunson and iHart were both out with injury? I just looked at the box score. Deuce played 40 minutes? Sims played 30 minutes? You simply cannot make this shyt up! A 7 man rotation!!

Thibs has to go!

And why is the end of our bench so completely useless?

What a strange season this has been.

This game was load management for IHart and Brunson on a back to back. They’re no longer allowed to say it though. They’ll both play Thursday.

That madman!

THibs's trying to win every game, given his MO, who would have played more minutes? Burks? Dwayne Washington? Charlie Brown?

Don’t forget Jacob Toppin. Clearly rotation-ready.

Not even regarding that 2 members of the [categorically denied] 9-man rotation sat out tonight, ostensibly for minutes management. Make it make sense.

Blaming Thibs for minutes in a game like last night is actually insane

Yeah, the season is looking over. Most likely will fall into the play in. We’ll likely make the playoffs as a 7/8 but we have too many key injuries to overcome at this point.

We were always a long shot to do anything even fully healthy.

This offseason is where we have to strike with our big move. But it better not be Karl Anthony Towns or else I will not watch a single game again.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

6th seed is the new goal… still provides a solid path to ECF…

The ECF ship sailed when Randle had a serious injury that will require offseason surgery (or in season if he doesn’t progress).
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

If OG comes back next week this team can still win 50 games.

That probably still leaves us in the 4/5 range. But whatever. I’m not ducking anyone.

it's not about the W/L column. i'm not too worried about our seeding. it's just tough to go from seeing the best knicks basketball i've seen in my lifetime post-og trade to this 2014 knicks ass rotation + brunson at the moment

Just had my second son and on both evenings the Knicks lost. The pain and suffering of Knick Ls flows from one generation to the next

OG, Randle, and Mitch will all come back in March.

We'll go on a mini run and grab the 6th seed or better.

We'll face and defeat MIL in the 1st round.

We'll face and defeat CLE in the 2nd round.

We'll face and defeat BOS in the ECF.

We'll face and defeat DEN in the NBA Finals.

We'll face and embrace each other at the NYK championship parade.

Return to New York Knicks
