if bridges is too much i think we should throw a bag at the Wiz for Avdija, even with the trade kicker:
    really good contract
    hes young
    plays really good defense,
    has a solid 3pt shot
tall (not that great of wingspan though)

1rp & 2rp with Mitch Rob
Formerly Knicks85

i don't think the Knicks go star hunting in the offseason, we have a legitimate superstar in Brunson. their primary focus will be retaining OG and Hartenstein. i think they want to have an extended look at the current team and how it fits/performs when everyone is healthy.

a 9-man rotation of JB, DDV, OG, Randle, iHart, Deuce, Hart, Bogey and Mitch is a really good, balanced and deep team. complement that with a 3-D wing and stretch 5 at the draft, a vet PG (maybe bring over Rokas) and hopefully Precious as Mitch insurance, and you have a legit contender, at least on paper.

i think they'll wait 'til the trade deadline before exploring another major move.

Trae Young to the Knicks rumors can now begin. Yay.

If we ever trade Randle for Bridges... why would we send them back picks? They would probably need to send us picks or a young asset. Randle is a 2x All-NBA player 2x All-Star player... Bridges is like OG. Good player but is not option 1 or 2.

Celtics pulled of both KP and Holiday....we pulled of OG when we were supposedly suing the Raptors... almost anything is possible.

As much as I like OG, he doesn't have enough of a bag to command max. You could replace him with DeRozan who defends and can get his own shot.

We simply can't afford TWO players as keys who usually only play half the season. We've tried it with Mitch R alone, now we're trying it with OG.

But like Mitch, OG can't seem to make it through the playoffs this year, either.

Still, we seem to play better WITH OG. I think MItch R & Bojan plus picks for someone. Fill center via draft.

Is DeRozan CAA? Maybe he'll be the new Bogs?

I know stars win playoff games, and the Knicks really need another scoring option, but maybe Randle works in that role.

So, is the move to add Bridges, or even go smaller and try for Eason. Or, if for some illogical reason, Pels willing to trade Trey Murphy III....

Knicks could use more depth that is playable.

I get that getting Bridges pushes Donte to the bench or Bridges plays supersub himself so there's that.

Jrue is a champion and never gets hurts, also still an elite defender (guarded 1 through 5 this season).

Unless the Knicks can unload Randle and Robinson to fill out the roster with better bench players, you can replace OG with DeRozan on a much cheaper deal.

If Randle was able to stay healthy then we prob wouldn't need to trade for another star. But seeing how Brunson is damn near by himself right now.. I think we need another big time scorer as insurance. I also think we would be able to keep Randle if we traded for Donovan Mitchell as well.

I think Mitchell is the greater talent while Brudges is the better fit. Sometimes you gotta tinker with fit for the greater talent but in this case I just don't know that Mitchell works for us. He and Jalen both wanna dribble the air outta the ball.

I don't see Bridges as a playmaker or shot creator and that's what we need
