Game Thread: New York Knicks (2nd seed) vs. Philadelphia 76ers (7th seed) Saturday, April 20th 6 p.m.

knicks in 6, i wanna say 5 tho. i’m hoping we can take over philly like we did in the regular season.

Call me crazy but I think we could have swept the Heat BEFORE Jimmy **** up his knee today, but AFTER it we would have demolished them. Lots of people think they would be more dangerous than he Sixers, I disagree, I think we will win this series (I have us in the Finals) but Sixers may take 2 or even 3 games (we beat them in 7). As a group, we have overcome lots of adversity in the regular season, but they haven't really played together in the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised if Sixers take Game 1...

To be fair though, the Heat missed Rozier who killed us last time and Robinson. With Herro, Robinson, Rozier, Love they have a lot of dangerous shooters. I would have liked our chances against them but it is what it is. Surprisingly the Sixers are the worst defensive rebounding team in the league and we are the best offensive rebounding team....should make a difference for us.

I'm optimistic overall we can take this series but I wouldn't be shocked if we don't. As a knick fan for 30 years it is overall a good place to be in. We're gonna be good either way.

To be fair though, that was the game where Embiid injured his ankle in the beginning minutes and wasn't moving well afterwards.

I love the optimism here on the board and do believe we have a solid chance at winning this series but it is going to be tough as well. The Sixers are 32-8 with Embiid this season, a better winning percentage than even Boston. So there is that. However it does seem that Embiid is not at 100% currently and I do think we should match up decently with them.

We need Bojan to step up and score consistantly. Brunson alone can't outscore Maxey and Embiid so someone needs to step up there.

That 32-8 record doesn’t scare me. Especially since Embiid was infamous for ducking the big matchups and would always comeback to drop insane numbers on the likes of the Wizards and Pistons, who 7 of those wins are against

Our boys will take this series.

Isaiah and Mitch, with some OG, will contain Embiid.

Donte and Deuce, with some OG, will contain Maxey.

Josh will break their souls, then Jalen will pivot them to death.

This will be a battle, and the Sixers wont be a normal 7th seed as long as Embiid can move, which he barely was able to last night, but they shall be dealt with.

I actually hope that Embiid can look like himself.

The prospect of having a competitive series against one of the greatest talents in the modern history of the NBA is really enticing.

I want to see us overcome a strong Embiid. I want to see great games. Just no injuries. But competitive basketball against one of the greats.

Sixers transition D was below average this season (Miami was near the top), this could be a factor, a big way the Knicks mitigate scoring droughts is on the fast break off of stops.
