Canelo handled the young boy as I predicted:

The shot he caught before the uppercut reset his hardware was sickening. That being said, Munguia has nothing to be ashamed of.

 Knicks and Rangers post-seasons definitely have me distracted. Plus 301 only had two notable fights right at the top.

Aldo looked GREAT! The Erceg vs Pantoja was a fantastic fight. 125 lbs title fights keep delivering.

Canelo did his thing. That uppercut was filthy, and he just controlled the action despite the size discrepancy.

I feel like Canelo did everything that he could to knock inflict a brutal knock out on that kid. His beef is with Oscar, not Jaime

Definitely a weak card for a PPV event. I wonder what the numbers were.

Excellent fight. Inoue is must-see boxing. The time zones are the only thing holding him back.

Yeah I actually was shocked that Inoue got knocked down in this fight.

Dude had to go to the hospital. I hope he is alright. The way his head bounced...christ. I love boxing but this is the part that sucks. Those knockouts can lead to death

Its really is a scary aspect of the sport. I follow every Puerto Rican prospect I can. Right now, our hottest prospect is Subriel Matias. He's 20-1 with 20 KOs (nearly half of which are from fighters giving up on the stand), the one loss came shortly after he beat Maxim Dadashev who died shortly after the fight from brain injury.

It puts into perspective why so many fighters haven't been able to come out of the corner between rounds with the kid.

I remember the Dadashev death :noway: that was awful.

That's why I don't ever denigrate or disrespect boxers who step into the ring. Even if I hate them or despise them for outta the ring stuff (Floyd), it takes a huge amount of guts to step through the ropes because all it takes is the right shot to kill or permanently injure you for life. That's true for all combat sports, but I've been watching boxing since the days of The Four Kings and I've seen too many guys die.

That's a fight that could be a fun technical duel...but also could be a feint-fest where neither guy is willing to take risks because of the price they could pay. It'll be a great fight to gauge where MVP lands in the hierarchy of the division either way.

The worst of the worst for feint fests was Ngannou vs Lewis for sure

The ironic part is that MVP and Wonderboy turned down fighting each other because they KNEW they'd end up in a feint battle. They're both so technically good and similar, that they knew the fight would suck. But MVP turned around and picked out a fighter with a similar feint heavy style, though I suppose it's not as disciplined as Wonderboy.

Nick Diaz as and Tony Ferguson are back, incredible as that may seem. The are each fighting on the UGC Fight Night card on August 3 in Abu Dabai.

Nick vs Luque - 5 ROUNDS! And Nick can win this fight given how badly Luque has looked recently.

Those two signed for 303, which is next month. But we get 302 this weekend, which is loaded with intriguing match-ups.

The star power is right up top. Islam the P4P top dog against Dustin Poirier, the fan-favorite vet. But on paper, Islam has a lot of advantages. I'm rooting for Poirier to get the fairy tale moment, but it's Islam's fight to lose.

After that Sean Strickland vs Paulo Costa is just fun. Strickland's jabbing and sharpness versus Costa's power and variety. I still don't think Sean's all that, so Paulo's a live dog IMO.

Big Mouth aka Kevin Holland is back, and has easily been the best part of fight week. I have even better news! His opponent, Michal Oleksiecjczuk, is probably worse than he is on the ground. So, it's a likely striking matchup that I don't think gets to decision. Michal's a finish or be finished kinda fighter.

Everything after that lacks star power, but makes up for it in being a fun matchup. The remaining main card fights are scrappy guys in fights that are likely to end in KO's. Each prelim involves at least one fighter whom was a major prospect at one point, but slipped up. Jailton Almeida would be fighting Tom Aspinall for the interim title if he'd beaten Curis Blaydes in his last match.

This card should be really fun.
