Malcolm Brogdon

Do you want? There's a rumor the Knicks might make a bid for him. He's owed 22 million, which the Knicks could match with expirings. Likely they have to throw in the #11 pick to get the deal done.

It feels like more of the same, improve a little, but not enough, trade away an asset to do it. That said, I think he'd make us better. A world of why bother, but he'd make us better next year.

I could see Thibs signing off on it. I wouldn't do it. Thoughts?

Classic Knicks:

1) Pretending he’s not an injury risk
2) Pretending his prime is ahead of him
3) Pretending a 40-win playoff run = ‘Chip
4) DGAF about your own lotto pick
5) Don’t trust your own draftee to start in year 3
6) Strikeout on vets A-Y, desperately grasp at vet Z

Checking a lot of Knicksy boxes here.

The reason the Knicks are linked to Brogdon is because Thibodeau is using Marc Berman.

In no universe will Knicks trade the 11th pick for Brogdon, it will be for the 6th pick with players involved-- Brogdon being one of those players--- or there won't be a trade

And just like anything else, it depends on the details-- that's the only way I can judge the move.
If we can move up and get rid of Randle -- I'll probably go for it.

Brogdon is a good player, but he's played in less than 2/3rds of games since 2017 (258 out of a possible 388)

As meh as I am on the draft class at 11, we should not be trading a lotto pick for him.
BaF Lakers:

Darius Garland/Cory Joseph
Klay Thompson/Shaedon Sharpe
Keldon Johnson/De'Andre Hunter
Evan Mobley/Tari Eason
Nic Claxton/Draymond Green

Bench: Leonard Miller, Jett Howard, Markquis Nowell, Kennedy Chandler, Day'Ron Sharpe

This. If the 6th pick isn't coming back, and our vets going out.....then absolutely want no parts of it.

Knicks need to clear out mediocre vets that demand heavy minutes and just keep a couple of token vets for 3rd string, the locker room, practice, huddles.

Build the right way: develop the youth. Develop your own assets.

Pacers trying to raise his value by getting the Knicks involved. Lakers probably want and need him most and are trying to bluff by desperately pretending a new coach and fix Russ into a team player.

11th pick for Brogdon? Damn, that sounds like an Isiah or Layden move.

Yea we need to stop with the horrible player topics.... Trading a lotto pick for a guy who even if healthy why? Nevermind he can't stay healthy... I saw an article we're sending the 11th pick PLUS IQ.... Foh

I hate garbage filler rumors just to fill time

I don’t even understand why the 11 pick would enter the conversation. He’s oft injured. An expiring so we could lose him in a year. Defensively challenged. You don’t trade lottery picks for that.

Fournier and filler, we can talk. But we need to make abs nail our lottery picks. Not trade them for marginal talent.

It's not just the rumors I hate (because they are HORRIBLE for us), it's the acceptance of such lopsided garbage from this fanbase that sickens me.
Those last 70 seconds, Randle in a nut shell.

Awful 2 for 1 3PT attempt when we are up 2
Doesn’t close out on Sabonis --> open 3
Takes another side step off balance 3

We got sucked into the Randle vortex where all good feelings go to die.

As non-credible as Berman, so I will choose to believe this one.
