That's it? Yankees wouldn't beat that offer? Joey Ortiz was ranked before last season #95 by Baseball America and and #99 on MLB.com. Ortiz was called up last season and did nothing in the big leagues before being sent down and doing great at AAA. D.L. Hall was #75 by Baseball America, #97 by MLB.com, and #95 by Baseball Prospectus. Both are 25-years-old.

Better pray that Rodon and Nestor bring the heat this season :noway:

man, this off season is underwhelming, with all the talks about yamamoto, snell, bellinger, and harder, and the biggest free agent we signed was a 36m contract with Stroman? I'm super pumped having Soto bat back to back with Judge, but we we were almost dead last in offense last season. Adding Soto, however great he is, may only bring this team to just "average", if other players don't pick up the slack. I mean, is our overall pitching even better with stroman when we lost King and peralta.

Matt Krook just traded. Is it to make room for Blake Snell? Is this ironic symbolism? Are we getting Snell for a steal?

https://youtu.be/3ZH6kghcaMY?si=4hO5Tz5FPi5ZF1li

This is right on the heels of another report stating:

Yankees are waiting to see if Blake Snell would agree to a short-term deal worth in excess of $35 million per season, per Bob Nightengale of USA Today #NYY"

Lets see if it happens soon....

I think they legitimately want Snell but at our price. We will see if that happens.

I have a feeling this is just Boras trying to drum up interest and price on his client.

Maybe Stanton can stay healthy and not be a statue at the plate now

they offered yamamoto 300 million and he went to the dodgers .I do think stroman is going to help and I think they wait to see what this team looks like up until the summer before a possible big trade for another starter

I'm optimistic about the offense ..Dominguez should be back mid season as well

The starting rotation is shaky..Rondon needs to step up

Judge is enormous. Even when you see him in pics with football and basketball players, he still looks huge.

I feel ya, but Stanton is supposed to be 6'6" to Judge's 6'7", it doesn't look that way in the pic.

funky angle?

Yeah I think there's something weird going on with the angle. I also don't think Stanton is really 6'6 whereas Judge is definitely a legit 6'7.

So, how many months will it be before we see Dominguez taking over in center this season?

Judge has always been noticeably bigger than Stanton (even though Giancarlo is one of the biggest guys in MLB), but the disparity in that picture specifically is 100% on forced perspective, angles, and the way they're standing.

Here's one of the same moment, but from a different angle.

And here's the two of them still being bigger than anyone else on the field:
