Maybe late June or July given the recovery timetable and how long it will take him to get through an extended spring training.

funky angle?

Yeah I think there's something weird going on with the angle. I also don't think Stanton is really 6'6 whereas Judge is definitely a legit 6'7.

Stanton is 6'5

It's funny because he was listed at 6'5 for years. Now he grew an inch.

All the technology in the world and we still can't see the Yankees's first spring training game. Spencer Jones just launched a 470-ft bomb in his first plate appearance.

Yup, would've just about cleared the short porch at Yankees Stadium.

Something crazy to think about, even though it was at high A and AA, he stole 43 bases last season.

I’m gonna feel sick if Jordan Montgomery ends up with the Red Sox.

Effin Cashman and Hal only really willing to make up with players and admit mistakes when they get to save money

Watched him and Dominguez the last two years at Hudson Valley. Jones was even more impressive than Dominguez. No way I would have traded him for Burnes or Cease this offseason.

Not sure what his position will end up being but he should be in the Bronx by next year if not September.

Probably why he's ranked first and Dominguez is second in the farm system. Those two, Judge, Soto, and Verdugo battling for outfield starts wouldn't be the worst problem to have. Jones played a little first base in college. Wonder if he could move there in the future.

Our baby bombers looking good. I think Jones, Vivas and Ben Rice will be in the show soon.

I thought Judge, Sanchez, Bird, Severino and Torres were the Baby Bombers to the Core Four generation of Bombers. If they aren't and are now all grown up then what does that make the Core Four, the Grand Daddy Bombers?

Hmm Cody Bellinger just got a bridge contract. Guessing this is as low the contracts are gonna go this off-season. Wondering if the Yankees would go for Snell on a similar deal.

I really think Stroman is it. I think they were ready to pay tax up the ass for Yamamoto. Now that they've got Stroman on a lighter contract, they won't bring in anyone else.

Another solid day for Spencer Jones, hitting 2-2 with a walk.

What are the odds that Hal and Cashman are banking on Jones to take Soto's place when that 500m price tag gives Hal heartburn?

They're definitely praying that happens. If Jones, Dominguez, and Judge are that good of a trio to man the outfield over the trio of Verdugo, Judge, and Soto, you're not gonna find many Yankees fans against that the first trio. However, I'm gonna bet most Yankees fans right now think if it's the first trio that starts next year, it'll be because of money.

ALL OF THAT SAID...it's still nice seeing Spencer Jones playing well the first two games. Hopefully, he does what Volpe did last year and has an amazing preseason. Too many outfielders, no AAA experience, and no spot on the 40-man most likely means no matter how good he does this preseason, he doesn't start the season in the majors.

I don't care how much of their potential Jones/Jasson end up fulfilling. To this point in his career, Juan Soto is one of the best left hitters to ever play the sport of baseball. If his career suffers no catastrophical setbacks this year, there is no excuse for the New York Yankees losing him next offseason. None.

I would def sign Snell up if it's a similar contract to what Bellinger got, a 3-4 year deal with 25-30M per sounds like something we can't pass up and it's right in line with Cole/Rodon contracts. They've been saying a Yankee offer is out there and it's a decision between Angels or Yankees for Snell but not sure how true those rumors are.

Yankees gave up kinda alot of pitching prospects for them not to re sign Soto. I think it's almost a must to resign Soto no matter how great Jones/Dominguez plays because we would have gave up those prospects for nothing. I know Hal cares about the money and tax alot but Soto is still so young and already one of the best players in the game. we need to re sign him and figure out the rest later, we can always move around the guys to the DH spot or even play one of Jones or Judge at 1st base just to make it work. A few years down the line if Jones/Dominguez is mashing then maybe trade Soto and the rest of his contract somewhere else. Or maybe even one of the kids for whatever we neeed at that time. The point is to always keep the options open.

Jones homer was impressive but honestly George Lombard Jr was even more impressive. Was an opposite field homer. His swing is picture perfect from the right side.
