Judge is completely lost at the plate out there. Every at bat is just him floundering.

Unless he changes something, teams are just gonna keep spamming that low and away pitch and he can’t do anything about it.

Can’t have a guy batting .179 in your 3 spot.

4 strikeouts for Judge today. Umpires are completely :censored: him with his low strike zone, but goddamn it do we need something out of that 3rd spot, especially with Volpe and Cabrera coming down to Earth.

0 runs and 4 hits in 10 innings is an absolute joke.

It’s almost as if they took a bottom 5 offense in the league last year, threw a Juan Soto sized bandaid on it, and hoped everything bad would improve, without even conceiving the possibility that the good things would regress.

I wouldn't want to mess with Soto's mojo but maybe swap him and Judge in the lineup?

Judge might get a few more fast balls and Soto's plate discipline is elite so it doesn't matter who is hitting behind him.

Hopefully when DJ comes back we'll have that extra bat.

[Kirschner] Aaron Judge on getting booed today: “I’ve heard worse and I probably would be doing the same thing in that situation.”

Respect to Judge for owning up to his slow start. Like Reggie Jackson once said, “Fans don’t boo nobodies”. Judge realizes that Yankee fans value him and are only booing because they know that he can do a lot better. He also is aware of the fact that all it takes is one big hit for fans to begin cheering for him again.

Yeah Judge knows what the expectations are. I'm not worried about him tbh but short term we need another spark in the line up. Yesterday was bad.

I went to sleep in a terrible mood yesterday being 6 hours ahead of the Atlantic time zone. Probably one of the worst Yankee games I watched this season. Thank goodness when I woke up the Knicks won their game.

The one thing about Judge is that the arguments about his strike zone is legitimate. Some of those strikes that were being called were clearly not strikes.

Wake me up when the strike zone is called by AI. I've had enough of human umpires.

Did you know that Brian Cashman runs the same exact analytics team that he had back in 2018?

1-1 bases loaded 2 out in the fifth. Three consecutive first pitch singles to Verdugo/Trevino/Cabrera. 5-1 Yankees!

Boone puts Volpe in the lead off spot because he was so depressed from watching him hit the ball so much.

Since 1 run in 9 innings wins that game yes, now need to sweep Oakland yes I know I know a 4 game sweep is a lot to ask for but it’s **** Oakland.

I give Nestor a lot of credit he held his own. I hope he can build off of it.

When does DJ come back?

Rehab assignment was supposed to begin this weekend, but doctors didn't like his follow-up MRI and his assignment was pushed to Tuesday despite his objections on how he feels 100%. Maybe he's available next weekend?

I do not look forward to DJ returning. What does he really have to offer other than the ability to play multiple positions? Even if he manages to stay healthy he won’t be the same hitter that he was during the juiced ball era, yet Boone will have him leading off in front of Soto. Let’s admit that he was a terrible contract by Cashman just like Hicks was.
