No Burks.

Yes Mitch.

I really do think Burks goes to situational unless we see a change.

Yeah it's unfortunate but he just doesn't look like the fit that I thought he would be.

Mitch/Precious/Boyan/Hart/Deuce with Josh being the primary ball handler sounds a lot better, but more than likely, Thibs is gonna keep at least 1 of Brunson/Randle/OG on the floor at all times.

I also think he's going to give Burks a chance to play with Randle. He played his best with 1-2 other playmakers on the floor.

Problem with the roster right now sans Julius is that Thibs doesn't trust McBride to play PG in his system because it depends heavily on rim pressure to generate looks. McBride rarely gets 2 feet in the paint. He's much more of a SG on offense w/ Thibs. When Brunson is out Thibs can just have the offense flow through Julius getting downhill and opening stuff up with that. That's where Burks can thrive because he becomes much more of a secondary ball handler with the ability to catch and shoot off of Julius's gravity as well.

Burks, even for how bad he is playing, can come off a screen and get to either a middy pull up or cook on a switch. Problem is he can't make any jumpers currently and he's an awful finisher at base line

Deuce is a combo SG and should be used as such, which is why I thought Burks was a perfect addition to the bench.

Reality is often disappointing....

Regardless of what happens this season, Leon needs to acquire a legit back up PG in the summer. This isn't sustainable.

Maxing NO. G. AndICan'tPlay, CAA stalwart will be the nail in the coffin this off season.

As pessimistic as I am you are full of it!

For one -- assuming they didn't immediately join the injured reserve -- Brogdon or Murray would have been infinitely more valuable to us. Brogdon would mean that when Brunson is out or hurt that we have a player who can actually be a version of him. Right now, we really don't have any point guards aside from Brunson. Deuce is great but he needs to develop his point game. Burks come in gunning. Donte is best off the ball.

Literally over here begging to wake up the news we signed Ish Smith. Thats how bad it is right now.

OG will be fine, hope that this injury makes him non-max or gets him on a more team friendly deal.
Randle is the big time question.

Speaking of calls involving DD -- so he gets called for the offensive foul because he swung his leg to gain balance on a shot -- not saying that it should have been and and-1, but it certainly wasn't an offensive foul.

Meanwhile on that meaningless heave... the player clearly kicks out to the side to catch Brunson. That's actually an offensive foul.

One positive is that if Randle has had trouble because he runs out of steam, he should be fresher this season. We obviously could still slip out of the playoffs altogether but I want to see DD and Brunson play less too. They're young and can probably handle it (Brunson was good last playoffs, great actually), but Thibs ... I've lost faith in him ... and if injuries help slow things down some, I think we can still win late season games and get in. With best of 7 throughout, I don't really care about seeding that much.

Winning a first round like we did against Cleveland didn't amount to anything.

Also if it makes us feel better, Luka looks like he's suffering, declining from attrition too. He looks awful out there. Jalen probably in better physical shape.

It was rough, but Deuce still had 8 assists, 0 turnovers last game

Burks has 6 assists, 9 turnovers in all his games as a Knick

I think the Knicks should aim for the 6th seed. Rest some guys here and there for the playoffs and try to get the 6th seed. If we can't get 2 or 3, 6th is the best seed to get. We stay out of the Boston side of things and we get to rest players.

Probably only a Knick could virtually get a broken nose and there’s no call. Josh Hart, true Knick.

It seems like ever since ESPN started hyping the Knicks their season fell apart.
