Imo, he's much like Quickley... can get hot fast, can penetrate, can create for others. As good as Burks on defense. When he's on - he's pretty good. When he's off, well....

I can't stand Burps but it's more about how I knew we were gonna use him. While everyone was celebrating a trade that should've been headlined as the Bojan trade and I have no idea why Burps was treated like some return savior, I just knew Thibs was itching to bring him back so he can slow dribble the ball up court again. I remember us not playing IQ at PG so instead Burks would play there. The results were disastrous the last time, IDK who would've thought different.

However he was having himself a nice little season in Detroit. Of course we know they stink but still he helped out. But they used his exclusively at the wing so perhaps he can still redeem some of his value in the right role. Now aside from that surely things will look better for some of these role players once we get guys healthy and they are back to thier normal 15min of energy play but for the love of God please, end this Burks at PG madness and in the short term if Shake can get Burks off the ball I'd be cool with it. Shakes is essentially a scab, a fill-in. A guy who on nights like tonight where we should be resting Brunson, he can come in at backup PG behind Deuce or start instead of Deuce but probably warm the bench when everyone's healthy.

So whats the game plan? It sounds like he is a below average defender, streaky scorer whereas Burkes is an average defender streaky scorer? Is Thibs going to test one of them out and whoever is hot gets more minutes for the night?

His best attribute is displacing Burps in the rotation because he's better...maybe only marginally better but still better.

Burkes has been horrible shooting the ball
Im a little shocked
he was solid this season in Det even and one thing he could always do was score

It's RJ's fault. He and Quick took him to their favorite restaurant in Toronto. When he saw the menu and he was priced at CD$1.95, he retired.
