Great to have Mitch return. He’s obviously a huge upgrade over Jericho, and Precious may see his time cut a bit too.

I still see posters thinking he’s a better defender than Isaiah though, when basically no numbers support that. Mitch also gets a lot of his offensive boards because he just stands next to the basket on offense clogging the lane, since he cant do anything else. People don’t seem to mention that enough. He’s the best in the league at it sure, but it comes at a cost.

Isaiah was playing hurt for over a month, but he’s been great again lately. When he’s at this level he’s a clearly superior player to Mitch, who is very good himself.

We just need to keep Isaiah’s minutes at 28 mpg or so, and that’s where Mitch comes in with the other 20, basically flipping the minutes they used to have.

Some posters dont want to accept that Isaiah is at least just as good a defender and rebounder as Mitch, while being vastly better at everything else. Mitch is still a starting caliber player and elite at what he does well, but Isaiah is nice as hell when he’s healthy. If he starts hitting jumpers again, and continues to up his offense, it’s not even a question.

I am assuming this means Mitch will check in before Precious for Hartenstein around the 5 to 6 minute mark in the first. Precious comes in for JHart in the second. Excited to see Mitch again and we got a solid 2 weeks for him to get his feet wet. Hoping to see OG back for the Thunder or Heat game.

i-hart is better pretty much everywhere. mitch is potentially a better shot blocker due to his length and athleticism, but hart is a far smarter defender and doesn't give up easy shots around the rim (mitch does at times to avoid fouling). defending PnP and perimeter it's not really close.

not a knock on mitch as much as a testament to how good ihart is. he needs to be this team's center going forward.

For sure. We all agree on that.

Jericho isn’t cutting it, and while Precious has been solid he’s a tweener.

We can keep both Isaiah and Mitch too, since they’d only cost around 30 mill a year total. I’m just not sure we will. With the new tax aprons we may want to spend money on a more versatile player than Mitch. Isaiah would probably only re-sign with us if he started going forward also, as he should.

Mitch, Deuce, Bojan and a few firsts is an enticing trade package for a star without giving up any of our starters. I love Deuce and Mitch, but it is what it is if we want to upgrade. Julius could be on the table too. Depends who we target.
