I was gonna say

Hart is defensive, lower mistake Randle

With nothing close to the shotmaking ceiling but I do have a lot of issues with the debits we have to absorb to get those credits

Great win, just needed to have won 1 or 2 of the last 3 losses. Hart and Divo are great but not natural scorers who get 20 every night. If the team had one more scorer at deadline, plus OG come back healthy, they could do well even without Randle these playoffs.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

You never got to watch the '70 and '73 championship teams.

My Knick fandom started with Ewing... Clyde and the crew was special huh?

The best team basketball on both sides of the court. They had complete trust in each other. It’s what Clyde said allowed him to gamble successfully on defense as much as he did. And they always hit the open man on offense. The Suns and Warriors took it to another level offensively. But not defensively.

It was funny when Brunson banked it in and really threw up his arms wanting a call

Here’s the deal tho — the refs are trained not to call a foul on non-obvious fouls and to wait and see if the shot goes in

Pretty sure of that

Has to be a bump from someone out of position

If the defender is in front of you and doesn’t really touch your shooting arm or bump you midair, they’re not giving you the +1

That’s not THAT bad of a thing if we are being a realist, by itself

But because he’s little and tries tougher shots, and he’s a Knick, he doesn’t get any real star reffing

Clyde
Pearl
Dollar Bill from the corner
Dick Barnett
Cazzie Russell was a 6MOY type of scoring talent

You hear it in those MSG documentaries. All 5 starters (including Reed and Dave) could shoot and take the last shot which is very rare.

Josh looked like LeJulius Jandle out there.

If he’s not going to shoot threes he needs to keeps attacking the rim like it dissed his momma.

The Kings have no interior D, but Josh is a legitimately great finisher inside. Teams have been doubling off him on Jalen constantly, so he has to be more aggressive and dive to the paint all night like he did in this one.

We need somebody else besides Jalen to get buckets down low with Julius gone. We got shooters to spread the floor around them. Josh can get a full head of steam if they wont guard him beyond the arc to either score of kick out.

This is going to have to be done by committee. Jalen will do his thing, but Donte, Deuce, and Bojan have to keep connecting to keep the hounds honest. Isaiah is an air traffic controller from the elbows who will find anything that moves. Mitch and OG can hopefully return to form. We aren’t done yet.

I dont know what it is but I feel the same way. From the first 3 games that I saw this year- I instantly felt that way. They play with
a winners confidence. I dont doubt for one second that this group(both front office, coaching staff and players will figure the chip formula out. Maybe we add a player or lose one but we finally have a winning core...and your winning core isnt just made up of 1-2-and 3...In my mind...

Someone brought up how dirty the gambling feels. And today we lost Randle who presumably was our only hope at mustering enough firepower to beat a top team.

I see these two things as kind of the same. Meaning, what we saw tonight (Kings choke aside) was just a fun and inspiring game. Guys who play it hard and come through in the clutch -- and who, like Hart and McBride, care -- are fun and it is a couple of hours of enjoyment out of paying bills or working a job.

So, that's where it's at. Not betting, not about revenue streams, not even having to watch a guy who doesn't really play with a lot of love for the game (just my feeling). It's about seeing something like what Jalen Brunson brings, amazing stuff from a pure winner. Screw the rest.

We got our money's worth but mostly because we didn't pay much to watch it and have some fun.

Some late-night corniness but the game is the game and anybody who focuses too much on the business of it or doesn't care about the game is a detriment. Watching tough, hardworking winners is what makes it a show and something worthwhile. Not putting your hopes on some longshot bet on something that's just about money.

The Hart to Hart connection was pretty sweet even though there were a few mistakes along the way they got some buckets this game. I wonder if that combo could generate some offense on their own with Brunson off the floor. Just space some shooters around them and go into some two man action to create some good looks.

The team needs him to play like he did tonight consistently. 12 mins of efficient scoring. That's all anyone is asking.

If OG can come back, that gives you Hartenstein, OG, Hart, DDV, Brunson, Robinson, Deuce, Bojan as the playoff rotation. That's pretty damn good.
