We need a second reliable scorer as you’ve seen how not having one in the playoffs has hurt Brunson.

Randle isn’t that ‘reliable’ scorer we can count on.

We can’t run it back again. We have to make a move to take another step. Can’t keep wasting Brunson’s best years - plus he’s still on a great contract. Gotta cash in on some of those draft picks.

Yep. Hoarding assets in hopes of that perfect player is a dangerous game as that perfect player may never happen.

Never watched it from that angle but it makes it more impressive that Ihart got the rebound with 4 people around him and then while swarmed by 4 players still managed to make the accurate pass out of it

one thing is certain...this sixer team isnt programmed the way this knick team is. They focused on getting more rebounds
and we still out rebounded them when it mattered the most. It's in our dna.

That play at the end of the game when Maxey went down, the ball went loose and Nurse was deciding whether he wants to call a timeout exemplified this. Took the Knicks just a split second to react, go after the ball and take another shot. The Sixers all stood there as if they were wondering why no foul call was made.

Exactly Moo...
This is the one quality of this team where I wouldnt be surprised if we won it all...I'm not saying that its probably that we beat a seasoned Denver chip team in a 7 game series but our winning dna
and belief that we're never out of it is definitely chip level...

I've said it elsewhere but if the Sixers somehow also had Josh Hart we'd be down 0-2 pretty convincingly. He's just a possession hog and if he's making shots he's basically imposing his will on the game.

Read on Twitter

he's a special player Cap...and Philly's not capable of putting the focus on Hart and Brunson.

More importantly, JB is getting the nfl running back treatment, you can't have a 6'1 guard, fearless as he is, playing that many had mins getting battered around like a pinball and expect him to have a long career.

It looked like a bowling ball shooting out of the return when it got to Donte. :D And he acted non-chalantly like it was. :D

Hart bringing his shooting coach to him basically full time during the playoffs shows he’s a winner.

Brunson will figure things out

His post game was embarrassing loser talk.

I think he has thoughts that his knee is screwed and this may be his last chance (in Philly, at least) to win something. Unless he has some sort of physical therapy that hasn't ever been tried before, I just can't see him getting back to full strength this season. I'm not even sure he could last 7 games. He may know he's endangering his knee by playing, but his need to compete may overcome his better judgment. I think he was so shaken up because he fears his dream is coming to an end. Sad for him, but not our problem.

That's a charitable take but I'm leery as we have heard a number of comments from the Sixers org tantamount to them feeling like they're entitled to winning this series. Paul Reed calling us the easier team and the announcing team smugly calling it a wrap. They looked past us up until the moment the metal bats started hitting them.

Embiid is one of the greats, but not so most of his teammates.

iHarts max is like 4/73 I believe. He said he wants to stay. If that's enough to keep him....pay him. He knows we can only offer so much. If he's not happy with that why say he would stay?

Then we see what OG wants. That completes the majority of our off-season if we stand pat. If they somehow get OG to take the QO then extend him? We could bring back iHart at his max and try to keep Precious before we hit the 1st tax apron. Precious then becomes a trade chip to add to Randle/Bogs and/or whoever else we need to trade for a star or whatever. Could be a keeper for depth if we trade Randle as well. Lots of things we can do to improve.

If we somehow re-sign I-Hart and OG to bigger contracts it likely takes us out of the $50M+ player market (KAT, Embiid, Booker etc) and more in the 33-38M market to stay below luxury tax.

There's ways of making things work. As it stands with OG taking his 19mil QO, No iHart/Precious/Jefrries we will be at 144mil. The first apron is 171mil. Aller is a genius. I have faith we bring at least those two back.
