Top safety in draft Joe is cooking. We did the same when we drafted McKinney. Graded 89.2 on PFF and an absolute ball hawk.

Probably best safety in the draft. Good pick.

i see, makes sense considering his freefall

how bad is it? i wouldn't mind taking a chance if he's still available in the 3rd

some scouts say he obviously has talent...but they question how coachable....I guess he basically does **** his way.

13 INT in his college career...big instinctual safety. We are moving to more of a zone defense with the new DC....I think you need elite athletic traits at corner....but safety smarts and instincts I take over athleticism.

Instincts are not going to much if you physically aren’t up to par. He doesn’t look like he can hang with NFL speed on offense.

Unatheltic instinctual safety is meh. This was damn sure not not BPA

he was considered a late 1st early 2nd round pick. Most had him as the top safety in the class.

I watch some of his clips...he sure seems to play faster than his combine #"s.

I agree the combine and athletic scores matter but if there is a position you can get by with not elite testing scores I think its safety because you are rarely matched up 1 on 1...you are reading QB's playing areas.

I think he's a day 1 starter at FS.

i think it limits his ceiling though. hard to be an elite S in todays nfl if you aren't a good athlete.

not sure I agree with that...as a corner absolutely need that speed and athleticism (quick twitch) testing matters way more.

If I remember correctly Kenny Phillips ran a 4.5ish he wasn't a burner but he was a big safety that knew how to play the position. Another guy that comes to mind who wasn't an elite athlete but was super instinctual would be antrelle rolle.

Got a broken leg on the play, had to crawl off the field because his team was out of timeouts.

Zach Frazier, offensive line, picked #51 by the stealers.

I think the athletic mock predicted our first 2 picks. If we go running back in the third it nailed the first 2 days. That’s Def doesn’t happen a lot with football mock drafts

McKinney blows him away as a prospect and McKinney wasn’t even all that. Nasty work.
