From DollarBills in the locked PG thread:
Also can we give Donte some love here? He woke up on the road at the right time. Those threes he hit were critical shots. I wasn't worried about him, roleplayers play shaky on the road, but he stepped up at the right time.
Was talking about this with my brother. Besides the fact Donte is clutch, is that the Knicks have a number of good 3 point shooters, something I know I complained about in the past and was also brought up on this forum many many times.
Now the Knicks roll out Brunson, Donte, McBride, OG, with Hart coming and going, but still a threat at times, and whatever Bogs can bring off the bench.
That's 5, maybe 6, threats from 3.
This depth is important, because if one guy is cold, another might pick up the slack or have a hot shooting night.
In the past, the Knicks didn't have enough 3 point shooters to offset a bad night from their more meager amount of shooters.
The team has good depth. Shows up with Precious contributing. The Knicks legit go 9 deep. I get that in the playoffs it's usually 7 or 8 guys, but the last few are for the inevitable injuries or foul trouble.
