So they are almost as good as us without our 3 time AllNBA Allstar...

Their MVP all NBA 1st team C also couldn't blink

Let's not get full ourselves. We fought. We won. We earned it. It doesn't have to be anything more than that for it to be satisfying

Brunson three point shot is still way off comparing to his best... maybe is his fingers/wrist injury, maybe its an ankle thing, or even worse, the three point shot contest... and more than half of his attempts are from the right wing

Wish we could get him more easy catch and shoot 3s. He shouldn’t have to take almost all his 3s off the bounce

that too, but he keeps missing a lot of catch and shoots off the offensive rebounds, too... a rest and a summer practice would do a wonder... we should not forget that he has played a lot of time injured and banged up and he didnt get a rest in the summer because of the FIBA tournament

Donte was sticking to Maxey like glue. Defended him better than anybody else, and did it while playing the whole game on the road where you couldn’t hear anything, along with having a nice offensive game too.

He has the lateral quickness and athleticism to stay with anybody, but just naturally gets overpowered sometimes by bigger players. Idk if we changed our defensive approach to Maxey or Donte was just more pumped up, but whatever we did worked.

Donte is probably our biggest X Factor, as he is a little streakier than our other guys. He had a 38 point game against the Pacers this season, so with their meh defense he should be better against them.

Donte/Deuce will take Hali
Jalen will take Nembhard/Sheppard
Josh will take Nesmith
OG will take Siakam
Isaiah/Mitch will take Turner
Precious will take Obi

We matchup well with Indy, but definitely need to use Precious and make more frequent subs if we cant slow down the pace.

Difference between a player stopping and him backing up. Not sure, but Maxey clearly traveled so that would have ended the series.

Brunson has to be able to stop though lol. How can it be illegal to stop?

It's obviously all subjective, but moving your pivot foot is not. I still don't think Hart did enough for a foul in G2 and think the 2MR stuff is geared to make the losing team feel better.

Mitch definitely matched up better with Embiid than Isaiah on defense. Not many guys have the size and ability to keep Embiid in check, and this is one instance where Mitch’s extra bulk clearly worked.

However we still needed Isaiah’s scoring, passing, ability to hit free throws, etc. Mitch scored 8 pts in game 1 and then only had 7 pts the whole rest of the series.

Mitch is hit or miss against Turner, as he doesnt like defending the perimeter but can abuse him on the boards. Isaiah or Precious may be the better matchup against Indiana and Boston with their small ball, but Mitch will be needed against Denver in the finals.

If no one has posted this, it's worth a look. Guy points out great D coaching and playing by Mitch and DDV (whom most wouldn't suspect of good D, among others.).

It probably shouldn't be a surprise that Donte can defend. He has the athletic ability and lateral quickness to do it.

The difference is what his priorities are on defense.

He typically stunts and tries to play the lanes, but to defend Maxey he had to stick to his man like glue and that got the job done.

Better that Donte become a quality man defender than worry about missing an opportunity for the occasional steal.

Yeah Mitch did come in and stop Embiid, no question. I'm a bit alarmed that he won't even shoot anymore, but an offensive rebound is an offensive rebound still. Donte and others should be ready to get it and fire away.

He came out looking to make life hard for Maxey, and to get some shots up. Good for him. Dude is a very admirable player.

Nova Mob all got right minds. Here to win. Just need to make adjustments sometimes.

There was nothing illegal about that Brunson/Oubre foul. Nothing. Oubre was following him entirely too close, at full speed, and not ready for him to pull up. Brunson quite literally took a normal stop and pop shot. He didn't jump backwards in any way at all. In fact, he continued forward a bit if anything. Oubre just defended it poorly by giving himself no room to make adjustments, and clearly fouled him.

It's crazy that Sixers fans are so furious that they believe an obvious shooting foul, on a clear mistake by their guy, is somehow Trae Young/Steph Curry jumping into the defender in an unnatural direction.

It was clear as day Batum crowded himself into a collision by the time Brunson pulled up for a shot

If that's the hill Sixers fans are dying on they are pretty desperate

That’s why Embiid’s 50 point game was so suspect to me. 20 free throws AND he intentionally hurt Mitch AND he didn’t get ejected?

Whining Philly fans are exactly the same as Embiid whining about every foul they call on him. It’s part of their pathetic losing foul bait culture.

Say what you will about Jalen foul baiting, but that dude is in incredible shape and never hesitates for one millisecond trying to actually make the big shot.

Unbelievable to me how Philly (outside of Maxey) didn’t even attempt to make clutch shots. They’re just out there behind fat Lowry and out of shape Embiid trying to draw the whistle. Then crying about it afterwards as if it’s somebody else’s fault that they’re fat and tired.
