The ppl that said Denver looked vulnerable vs the lakers were not wrong

The ppl that said Denver slept walk thru the last 2 months of the season were not wrong

There were signs.

I think this guy on the GB had a great point. All the more reason to make that play for another star player this summer before we run into serious cap restrictions…

Part of it is by design. The cap just squeezes good teams and brings them back down the earth. Denver has $135m tied up in Jokic, Murray, MPJ and Gordon. Once you put a team together, you have a small window where your team is developed and talented enough to win, but also not so top heavy with contracts that you can't fill out your starting lineup and bench.

Minnesota is a year or two behind Denver with the same problem. Let's say they win the chip this year, they've got so much money tied up in their top 4 that it'll be difficult to keep key pieces like Reid and NAW. Even Gobert will be hard to retain beyond next season unless he takes a huge paycut.

I'd argue it might be harder to stay a champion than to become a champion.

Get ready for Wolves - Knicks

Wolves peaking at the right time

Actually I prefer Wolves for Finals matchup the most out of them/ Thunder/ Nuggets

Murray has become incredibly streaky. At times he even seems to be lacking confidence in his shot---like he turns down an open midrange shot, takes a couple dribbles into his defender and spins and takes a much tougher fall away shot.....

Wolves are coming out of the west---it looks pretty certain at this point. Maybe the Suns weren't as horrible as we assumed.

Yeah, no matter what....a team does not want to trail like 85% of the time against the opposition and pull out close wins on buzzer beaters etc. Denver is lacking some depth and frankly against teams with equal size and frontcourt defense they struggle.

That and Murray has become really really streaky.....They essentially need Murray at the top of his game in the playoffs and he seems to have incredible bad shooting nights..

Losing Riley to the Heat was one of the biggest blunders in knick franchise history. With him the Knicks would likely have been one of the most successful franchises today.

p.s. Him saying that they are undecided on Butler is a testament to Riley's greatness....for him, despite all the success Butler has had, it is not a foregone conclusion to lock the franchise into such a big commitment for a 35 year old. That is true leadership, savvy franchise building and the reason why the Heat are always going to be good as long as he is the commander in chief.

This is what I’ve been talking about
Read on Twitter
?s=46

Look at AG. He has a lane to atleast put three more steps to pressure the rim and decide

Instead he makes a backwards pass to Jokic while having a 2 on 1 advantage

Denver is cooked bc MPJ and Gordon are so soft that they never had to step outside their comfort zone and make plays without the perfect setup from Jokic

Ant will take out Serbia and Slovenia. But can Brunson finish off Latvia?

Wolves are on another level. Their defense may just be too stifling even for Jalen Brunson. Wow
