Have you ever seen Mayo play before? He's not that good, I see him falling to the bottom of the lottery.

There is nothing wrong with being like Gilbert Arenas, if OJ Mayo can do it at the shooting guard position. The problem with Arenas is that he plays the point. Point guards should distribute and get teammates involved (not shoot a million shots).

Arenas and Mayo are fake PGs. They do not have exceptional passing abilities or mental mind expected of a point guard.

I only saw parts of the USC vs. Memphis game and I was impressed by OJ Mayo

My last impression of him was the nonsense he pulled in the High School All-Star Game, but he turned the tables in the Memphis game and stepped up as a team player.

That's why I think Mayo should play SG in the NBA, he has the size to do so.

I think if we get Mayo, we have to play him at SG. I think he will be a great player on the NBA level, but he will not address our PG needs.

There is nothing wrong with Gilbert Arenas, but wen you have a lot of guards who shoot first ...what do u do?

The problem with OJ Mayo is not his talent (although he doesn't have a ceiling of some other players in the draft - namely Rose, Beasley, Jordan and probably also Gordon), but his intangibles. He has all the signs of a team cancer. He needs to stay as far away from the Knicks as possible.

really? he was 6-20 in that game.. he didnt impress me at all..

i know stats arent everything but he just didnt look ready.

He played good defense though and wasn't scared of going against Rose. He played better than Rose in that game IMO.

Anyway, Mayo's reputation as a cancer is way overblown. He's a brash player, but he hasn't exactly rubbed his teammates the wrong way.

Regarding his game, there is no way Mayo should be a PG. He's at his best when he's putting the ball in the basket and not distributing. He is incredibly strong and athletic, and has deep range on his shot. He's also a good defender. Both Rose and Mayo have been underwhelming thus far, but it's still too early to decide.

Are we talking about the same Mayo here? He broke his teammate's jaw before the season even started.
