what potential??

lee is a backup.

saying it doesnt make it true.

there is a reason every team wants lee. hes a backup on a championship team or a starter on a good one.

hes smart, improves every season, is a great teammate and is one of the top rebounders per min in the league.

He runs or plays half court. He passes, sets great screens, shoots great FT%, hustles every game and isnt an injury risk.

yeah, what potential?

people need to understand when we make these trades its to get rid of our garbage and were gonna have to give back our only few assets (lee) to get rid of that garbage.. were not gonna get equal talent in return were doign it to get rid of these bums..

our goal has to be to evnetually under the cap for at least a shot at a superstar because thats how u win in this league..

we do not have any special players on this team at all..if we have to trad othem if it means unloading a awful contract we must do it

sure it does ... he's to small to play center, he's to weak to play power foward, and he's to slow to play small foward.

NoLayupRule wrote:there is a reason every team wants lee. hes a backup on a championship team or a starter on a good one.
of course every team would want him, he's basically the only guy other teams would want from the knicks because he has no red flags on him.

lee is a starter on a bad team, a good role player on a good/great team.

NoLayupRule wrote:hes smart, improves every season, is a great teammate and is one of the top rebounders per min in the league.
so??

he's still not a starter, evans is most likely the best rebounder in the game ... he's still a role player.

NoLayupRule wrote:He runs or plays half court. He passes, sets great screens, shoots great FT%, hustles every game and isnt an injury risk.

okay ... i'm still not seeing why he's worth a draft pick

NoLayupRule wrote:yeah, what potential?
he has potential to be a good player off the bench.

Incorrect.

every year as many teams add major talent at the trade deadline as do in free agency. perhaps more.

How did LA get Pau? By giving up a ton of talent? no. By giving up cap relief.

We have Marbury and Rose coming off the books this summer. Either can be packaged with a player like Curry to sweeten the deal

SA wants curry? Send Curry and Rose and take back Bonner and Thomas.
GSW wants Lee for harrington? Too bad. They are the ones desperate to resolve their situation. We are rebuilding.
Cha wants Felton and Wallace gone. So get them involved to sweeten the GS deal.

Its time to stop being desperate NY fans. Time to stop moving our young guys as soon as we can, as soon as they are good.

We have years to resolve the salary situation before LBJ and Bosh are available. No knee jerk reactions

What the heck is it... A week ag you guys would have traded Curry for a bag of beanstalk beans... Today trading him & lee is too high a price if Belineleielie or a draft pick arent included... make up your minds.

We're giving up our best asset AND our worst piece in the same trade. I think some of us are underestimating just how unmovable Curry will be. He's going to have to be packaged with one of your youngs to get a deal done.

However, I think we can weasel a draft pick or a young player as well if we're giving up our best young asset in Lee. Bellinelli or a protected draft pick from either Charlotte or Golden State would be ideal.

wrong, weak players dont average double digit rebounds, especically off the bench

he has potential to be a good player off the bench.

Wrong again, he is ALREADY a very good player off the bench

I feel like Belinelli is a poor man's Gallinari though... I guess he'd be a decent throw in though, I could see the Warriors throwing in Marcus Williams but I doubt the Knicks have much of a need for him since they're committed to Duhon, Robinson has played well as a backup, and Marbury is eventually going to move back into the starting lineup anyway.

If Lee and Curry gets traded and all we get back is A Harrington, it will still be a good deal. I have a feeling the open roster spot will go to Patrick Ewing Jr. I would love to see Bellinelli in the deal, however you still have to make the deal.

Who knows, perhaps we can pry Monta Ellis away from Golden State. Monta is Starks with a better offensive game.

Would Harrington an experienced vet get playing time to go along with our rebuilding plan or would he go to the bench immediately to keep Marbury company while Malik ogs up more minutes?

every year as many teams add major talent at the trade deadline as do in free agency. perhaps more.-every year?..you must have a short memory last years deadline was busy as ever but usually the deadlien si very very quiet

How did LA get Pau? By giving up a ton of talent? no. By giving up cap relief.-that was a fleecing and something we probably wont see again because fo the critcism memphis recieved

Wallace will be used as a PF and SF. Line-ups will probably look like this:

Nelson/Maggette/Jackson/Wallace/Biedrins

Bring Wright off the bench for Nelson and Wallace slides to the 3.

Monta is not Starks he plays very little if any defense but his offensive hame is more polished.

If the Knicks get rid of Curry, then there is the possibility the Knicks could find a way to be under the cap for the summer of 2010 and still keep Randolph in the process.

Yes!

harrington would get lee's minutes, you have to play him.

i hope this happens ... curry not in a knick uniform would be sweet.

More fuel for the fire.

Harrington has been scratched from tonight's lineup with "back problems"

what's with everyone's idea thinking chandler is a small foward??

he's a power foward and should be the starting power foward.

Chandler can be a power forward in Mike Ds system. We just need a taller center to play alongside him. If Gallo starts at the 3 though he would make up for Chandlers lack of size at the 4 a little bit too.
