we'd have to trade for Ingram...wonder what it'd take. I assume WCJ for starters, maybe Isaac, happy to include Cole...the more salary we send out, we could still have cap space to play with THIS summer before the $$$ dam breaks.

Love Isaac, but maybe there's a lot of logic behind "Sell high (healthy)" :cry:

I think, maybe, he could be a much higher volume 3pt shooter...NOLA has a couple, similar-sized guys that can't really do anything else offensively...maybe he got forced inside - not because he can't shoot, but because they can't handle. Remember that Zion was rarely around for the last few years.

Brandon Ingram doesn't make sense to me either. He is a UFA next summer. Plus how Magic is gonna distribute the ball between Franz, Paolo and Ingram. The fit is not there and Brandon Ingram is injury prone.

Definitely an unconventional fit...but I kind of like the concept. We have been a pretty unconventional team and we'd be even longer and more explosive offensively.

The trade price and the contract certainly concern me. Monk would be easy, cheap, and essentially painless.

I think Murray could even be gotten for less and his salary certainly is less.

I think there could be an extension THIS summer...say 5 minutes before the trade?

I gotta say its kinda bizarre how Ingram's 3 pt shooting volume dropped off on the Pelicans over the seasons when they needed him to shoot more 3s if anything

Still seems weird to me, because Zion played a good amount of games this season and the Pelicans were still 7th lowest in 3 pt attempts per game (32.6) & 9th lowest in 3 pt shot frequency in the NBA (37.4% of shots) Orlando was 3rd lowest in 3 pt attempts per game (31.3) & 6th lowest at 3 pt shot frequency (36.9%)

Exactly. You have Zion and Jonas down there, the 3 other guys should jack whatever 3 pt shots available.

Then again you also have Herb and Trey who are more volume amd accurate 3pt shooters so i dunno...
